US Vogue March 2015 : Karlie Kloss & Taylor Swift by Mikael Jansson

This thread has got me thinking. How are two friends photographed together supposed to be portrayed so they won't come off as gay?' With zero touching and at a distance?

I'm happy for them, but the cover is really weak. And in some photos Taylor looks better, than Karlie. For me this "gay thing" is ridiculous.

annoying pretentious these two why? karlie milks they're friendship so much,we get it your friends.

Taylor doesn't look like herself on the cover to me. is it the angle, some bad photo shop..i can't put my finger on it. I'm holding out hope that we will get at least one editorial that isn't a re-hashed concept we've seen a thousand times.

Instagram & Tumblr are gonna explode with Kaylor/Taylie posts!
I am in love with this cover and the ed. You can clearly see their genuine chemistry in the photos. I'm happy for Karlie too. In the last 6 months she has bagged 2 US Vogue cover, one for September and one for March, biggest months of fashion.

After the last two months of: fifty shades of drab and that Testino January up-chuck, this really looks bright.
I'm not a fan of either of these girls but this Is the prettiest I've seen Taylor. The 'un-made-up' look works well for her.
Vogue has done the gal-pal covers for many years so the whole 'are they or aren't they' conjecture is of the mark, I think.

With all that, I'm still not buying this.

I wasn't so thrilled about the cover at first but it is growing on me. I think the editorial is wonderful. I love the styling and the setting. Very beautiful pics. I love the idea of putting two friends in a cover and editorial.

The cover editorial is STUNNING. Amazing to see Karlie snag another Vogue cover, and I personally love Taylor so this is a win-win for me.

i like this! i'll take it over the boring celebs they use any day of the week. it's something different.

Bland cover but not bad...much better and cleaner than recent portraits from the mag. The editorial has some good shots. I think it's more interesting to see Mikael Jansson rise through the Conde ranks like this even after decades of being successful in his own right...very interesting, Anna must have her eyes pasted elsewhere during her magazine perusals :innocent:.

Love it. So glad Taylor AND Karlie shared this, it's such a different dynamic than the September issue with all the 'Insta Girls', it's so much more interesting!

While I actually am fan of the two and think it's a super cute concept, I wouldn't call it Vogue Material. I see the concept as more fitting for ELLE. Wish they would have gone for more smoldering eye makeup in the cover.

Should I expect the usual: editorials feauturing Kendall and Caroline Trentini?

I really like the idea of celebrating female friendship. The media loves to pair women against each other and create fights and competitions where there aren't ones. I think showing this is a positive message and just goshdarn nice.
you know what, i really like your point here. haven't thought of that. perhaps i'd appreciate different pair of famed friends though.

i agree with those who say they are being too cheesy and ditzy. of couse they look great, they always do. it's too pretty it's annoying. but photography-wise, i can't complain. jansson for vogue is perfect.

Karlie looks very good. Taylor, on the other hand, looks quite ugly (and I don't think she's ugly at all).

It's sort of fresh... So I won't complain.

Was looking at the cover, and trying to figure out why it looks so weird to me, and its the masthead!! Looks huge with this image, somehow!

I liked the idea of them together, as a powerful and supportive female force, but the cover story makes them look like grown adults pretending to be teenagers. These are two highly successful women, but this looks like an adult fantasy version of a pair of girls prancing around without a care in the world, swearing to be best friends forever, or at least until the end of summer, until school starts again.

If this IS what they do on their days off, then fair play to them. But it just seems silly to me.

Yet if this were two models in an editorial, I'd probably be praising the mood. So perhaps with the expectations I have with a March issue, there IS no being happy. Maybe I'm primed to find fault, therefore the problem lies with me, not on those pages.
