V #49 September/October 2007 : Brad Pitt by Mario Testino

ugh...
i am sick of all the "english eccentric" eds...
it seems like every mag has had one recently...
that pic of agyness is gorgeous, but it's the first one i've seen of her where she isn't doing the same old look...
she reminds me of catherine macneil...

that being said, the v fall fashion issue rarely disappoints and i'm excited to see the rest of the contents, and the issy blow tribute...

I see what you mean about the English excentric, but to state the obvious, it's all because of Isabella, and I think it's therefore tolerable. Besides, it's a beautiful theme, and Agy is the best suited model for it, really

do daphne guiness and lady amanda count as eccentric? Everytime I see their pictures they are wearing runway looks

Why can't we keep the V contents blurbs in the cover rumor thread? This issue won't be out for another month, and it'd be nice to not have to read through 7 pages of speculation before you get to a cover pic.

^ I agreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I thought there was a 'rule' about this already.

i'm kind of sick of agyness right now but this does look moody and sexy. v always has good autumn issues.

I'm totally ok with a model cover. However the shoots in V magazine have been pretty much similar, could be because of the photographers but it's getting boring especially since the last huge editorial. I'd love to see someone else photograph for V, bring back Craig McDean.

08.16.07 V49 PREVIEW: MARIO SORRENTI AND LARA STONE
Look out for sixteen of the most insane and outrageous pages we've ever printed

4q4l7rk.jpg

Photographer Mario Sorrenti's recent collaborations with the British stylist Jane How consistently seek out the new frontiers in fashion. V49 finds the team back at home, creating clothes and accessories out of everyday household appliances. How, along with the hairstylist Recine and prop stylist Philipp Haemmerle, has dreamed up looks composed of irons, televisions, whisks, spoons, boomboxes, tea kettles, hair dryers, and other assorted kitchen paraphernalia. In one picture, Dutch supermodel Lara Stone dons a hollowed-out television set as a helmet while sitting on the lap of her male model buddy—he himself stitched into a '70s-style mustard yellow reclining chair. You've got to see it to believe it. And soon you will.

I only have a problem with the hair... other than that it's a fun concept, lara looks gorgeous and her body is amazing !

The hair looks like it was photoshopped onto her head :ninja:

Fun concept, poorly executed imo, but I guess I should wait to see the whole thing before really judging -_-

I completely agree, the hair bothers me or the way it was made like a collage (which actually fits the working desk concept). On the other hand this looks pretty similar to an ed featuring Tanya D, so nothing really new!

I love the Lara pic. Yeah the hair looks fake, but I think its part of the whimsy. I really want to see the pic they describe though
