Not sure about this yet. Some of it looks incredibly luxe and sexy but some of it looks really ridiculous (the purple fur coat anyone?).

That one that Vlada's wearing? I also didn't like it, too much going on...

the haute couture had me really pumped and set the expectations really high. i guess i'll wait for the full collection to judge if it lives up to the Couture expectations. but from what we've seen so far, it's really beautiful, feminine and glamorous.

Isn't it ironic that some of those draped dresses look like the pieces Donna Karan did when she 'ripped-off' Versace for Spring 2009?

I'm not loving this so far. WHY does every Versace collection have to be 10 million colours?! For me her best collections (Fall 2006 and Spring 2007) had some kind of focus point in terms of colour. She kept it to a minimum and therefore avoided the kistch.

I hate it when she does things in every single colour and when the runway is multi-coloured and everything is just an overload of kitschy Barbie colour combinations! But maybe thats just me!

i prefer more colors instead of just "black", like most shows seemed to do tbh. people act like multiple splashes of color are some contagious, deadly disease

Also, color shouldn't be the only thing that holds a collections together and although Donatella used many colors in her collections, the clothing always looks as though they belong in the same collection and is very cohesive.

I think it's a great collection so far... very Versace signature, but with strong details like the "scar' and the scales, so that it is recognizably this season's Versace... i especially like the "scar" peices so far, quite a modern take on the versace signature... can't wait to see the full collection!
