Upon seeing Caroline's pictures from the main editorial I fell asleep...luckily Kirsi, Ylonka and Hind were there to wake me up. I hope Ylonka and Hind have more shots.

The main editorial is really impressive. I'm very pleased with Meisel's work in this issue.

Kirsi is a star...she's breathtaking. Unbelievable.

oh God, klein is starting to copy-paste Helmut Newton style...i understand when its kinda influence and inspiration, but so obvious copycat`ing... Mert and Marcus, sometimes Richardson, sometimes Jansson, but now Klein start to rip-off Helmut Newton

I'm iffy about the main ed. I'm not liking what I see, but I don't completely hate it, although it's a disappointment judging by the cover. Klein's editorial is so fierce, I love it.

All I can think when I see pics from the main edit is why does every single model look so "lanky."
With the exception of Meisel's excellent photography, and what I see of Hind, I am not on board.

I kinda like this bold akward vibe depicted in that main editorial, like hello I'm sorry but I'm really new to this

Whatever it is through akward and cheesy expressions, akward or even exhausted poses, contrasted with classical black and white and empty plain background that makes the whole even more questionable...
I think it may really take off and look amazing when you look at all the pics reunited...
one by one, it feels a bit weird, something both charming and irking at the same time... looking at them all togather, charm becomes really efficient
besides, I'm in love with Hind's alone

I think it's great that Meisel is embracing all these new girls. But I wonder how often he will shoot these girls after this. I remember getting all excited in the past because he shot some interesting new girls for an ed and after that the girls went into Meisel limbo.

this is something that is to happen with every influential creative, as they are being watched carefully, it's very easy to notice when the expected doesn't happen...
20/20 is a fantasy, it doesn't exist... even for the most genius artists (not saying Meisel is a genious there, and by the same way not saying he's not a genius... both would be pretty akward to say as some things are more beautiful to stay at a state of feeling rather than words... )
then, even if I do believe he's thinking future, I'm not sure he's choosing every girl with this consideration and may also pick girls to fit his current mood/story... And I even hope so.

Vogue Italia is a hot spot as several others, a way to get noticed...
but without a model who is talented and striving for success enough to achieve something, carried by an agency who is having enough interest in the girl and adopting the right stategy to avoid a possible burn out or to be sure the girl is available at the right moments...
This and that, it makes a lot of parameters in the end... B)

The only appealing thing about Kirsi in the main story is her face (with her unique facial features). Those outfits however do not flatter her.
