You know, in that news snippet, there was no firm mention that she herself is on the cover. She's guest-editing it - which means she could choose to put someone or something completely different on the cover. It could be her and her family, or even her sister and not her. We're presuming it's CG because it would make sense for her to be on the front - but until we see the cover shot, we can't say for sure. We could receive a surprise.

and I really hope she won't put Lou on the cover....
but sthg with Charlotte by Kate Barry...
I guess we'll have Kate Barry shooting the actress' generation....
Jane Birkin and Lou Doillon would certainly have sthg to do overthere (even though I cross the fingers not to see them!!!! They both get on my nerves...But Lou is having a fashion line, now and Jane is an Icon for more than one generation so...) and I'm hoping for an editorial inspired by Serge Gainsbourg.... and something with her husband (Yvan Attal), too... he's such an interesting person!
Something with Ghesquière and M.A Sauvé, too would be amazing... featuring Charlotte...I don't know...

However, there is a long history of people guest-editing the Dec-Jan issue, and not everyone has placed themselves on the cover. While I agree that it makes sense that she will be, we have no cover shot or sighting to confirm, and we have a whole new thread about it before the November issue is even with us. For me, the actual cover is still a concept, rather than a reality.

Though I welcome the news; I think it's a great choice for her to be the guest editor, and I hope we get an interesting cover.

Yes, but while all of the guest-editors have not automatically been on cover my point was that ALL the fashion icons (which is why Charlotte has been chosen certainly) that have been guest editing have been on cover.I don't think this issue would make an exception.

By the by, I totally see Lou featuring in the 'Une Fille, Un Style' article.As Berlinrocks mentioned, I also imagine that Kate Barry, Jane Birkin, Serge Gainsbourg and Ghesquiere will probably take part in it/will have an article dedicated to them (though I don't know about Kate Barry since the Vogue Paris rarely collaborates with a photographer outside of their 'circle' of very famous ones).

I am excited over the contents aswell,cant wait to see all the features.But i wholeheartedly agree with Tigerrouge!We do not know she will be on the cover for sure,many other guest editors in the past were not on the cover(and i wont even go into the "fashion icon" theory)so why do we have a thread alredy?This should be in rumor has it forum,because regardless we do not have a cover image or a 100% confirmation that she will grace the cover,therefore this whole thread is misleading to people.


I think TFS needs more defined rules about this.
