Vogue Paris November 2016 : Gigi Hadid by Mario Testino

Very glamorous cover for VP, but a bit dated like, a vintage runway presentation. I'm not sure whether I love it or hate it because there's not much presence here.

So it's all new faces for VP so far, impressive! Two covers for Luna, and two covers for Gigi. And with Karl shooting December there will most likely be no Lara/Daria/Kate/Gisele. Yay! But what a Pyrrhic victory!

Like Benn98 has mentioned, the cover is giving off a vintage vibe and I rather like it. I think Gigi looks fabulous, and for some reason the fact that her nails are short and trimmed give a youthful edge to a look that might've tipped dangerously into old fashioned, especially when you consider the overall aesthetic they're going for here on the cover.

I like the intention but it turned out too heavy imo, between the setting, styling and layout. I hope that the editorial has the same vibe but cleaner.

Too bad, they were doing a great job with the two Luna and Iselin covers. I don't understand why they had to choose her for this. I know so many models who would have rocked this.

Hopefully the content will be as good as in the previous month.

A hat again? Not feeling this cover for some reasons. Probably the styling and orange...

Mario Testino captures haute couture highlights in the streets of Rome for our November issue, out October 27.

“Sonia Rykiel passed away in the dying days of summer and with her, we have lost a particular image of the Parisienne. An emancipated Parisienne, who wore her relaxed style, way of thinking outside of the box, life lived in the fast lane and passions front and center. This issue is dedicated to her.” writes Emmanuelle Alt, Vogue Paris editor-in-chief, in her November editorial. After a first outing on for the magazine in March, Gigi Hadid confirms her star status as a fashion phenomenon, with a cover shoot with Mario Testino, as she takes to the streets of Rome in silks and sequins to showcase couture gowns and evening coats amongst the gold leaf of the Italian capital. All the guests in this issue have one thing in common, an unwavering desire to succeed, whether it’s Gigi, Ryan Gosling, French actress Virginie Efra or the nine promising designers chosen by Vogue and Swarovski, who have each created a piece for the Vogue & Swarovski Crystal Collection, on show at the Vogue Fashion Festival November 4 and 5. I hate hats on cover...

The cover is fine but a bit heavy. There's too much going on with the background.

Wow I guess she's a bonafide VP darling now.

Don't mind hats on covers, as long as the concept's well done. Guinevere modeled her hat so much better on the Vogue Portugal cover.

Sorry but I'd better prefer Luna (3rd time) again than her. And the cover itself is terrible.

It's a great cover. I was afraid when i read "Gigi by Testino". The magic of the last 3 or 4 issues of VP was the absence of Testino. I don't think he brings anything to the magazine anymore...

I kinda like it. I still prefer her first cover because i think she suits the 80's style more but it' still good.

Bella could have been a better covergirl for this.
I'm waiting for the main ed and the complete review...

Karl, like KL? Shooting the December issue? :D:D:heart::heart:

I love this! Very chic! It would have been better without the hat though. Imagine this pose, styling, plus a pushed back hair.

However, I wish they placed her above the logo. The hat + the logo on top of her seems to be drowning/eating her.

The text in the middle made it a bit stiff, but all else, it's beautiful.
