children- lets play nice

It's because of Galliano that Dior is as big as it is.
Doctor Caroline said:Gallianoboy if I really hated the guy and wanted to mock him I would in a way unimaginable to yu, I could easily make the "Hate Dior Club" but it just happens to be that I'm decent enough not to, so before you go pretending to kow what I think of John make sure you know what this forum is called: "Why do you like/hate Dior?" Think about it Gallianoboy or should I say Gullable boy
j´adore dior said:the least thing i wan´t is to pick a fight with someone i don´t either know or care about, but i really have to say i think you are very rude and shout, i don´t know, take yoga lessons or something like that because it looks that you are releasing your frustrations or wathever through Galliano´s work for Dior, i mean, as Gallianoboy said, there are thousands of threads about this topic, literally!, the ones who hate him always argue his clothes and shows are unwearable and for whores, but he also dresses charlize theron, anna wintour, anna piaggi, isabella blow, nicole kidman, etc..., we all know he´s way of presenting a collection is through a story, its a marketing strategy, he makes headlines with the most beautifully made costumes, because they aren´t just vulgar costumes, they are the most amazing, head turning, perfectly executed costumes in the world, that had required moth of extensive influence research and intellectual thought and actually if one cares to look closely enaugh at each of his Dior collections, you´ll find christian Dior´s references on it.
i don´t know why i even bothered to go through this thread, but oh yeah it said Dior on it´s tittle and i only open threads about designers i like or find interesting, i don´t like marc jacobs or heatherette for example and haven´t once cared to read one sentence about them, why wasting my time on them when i could be searching for other threads with subjects i really care for, like Dior´s, Versace´s or Valentino´s?, isn´t that an unproductive way of spending my time?, will a negative quote make me feel any better?, no, will the fact that i discovered a new interesting detail about a designer i admire made me feel cool?, yes, does someone i don´t respect his work deserve my attention or my haterism?, no.
ps 1: that amazing spring-summer 2004 haute couture collection inspired by ancient Egypt as the rest of his colletions, was filled with wearable dresses and ideas, one only have to be creative or have the vision enaugh to make it work, but yet again, is only reserved for a special few, how ironical!
ps 2: can´t wait for his next Haute Couture collection coming on july 5th.
I would argue that Tom Ford is even more in love with himself but thats just my perception. I think its funny though how both of them have created image in such different ways yet they've both made it so huge and recieved so much hatred from the fashion world. Tom Ford created the image of sex appeal through smart advertisement, but plain clothes. Galliano created image through the drama and creativity in his fashion shows that made magazines go crazy over, ranting and raving or bitching and moaning about them incessantly. People may not like Galliano's clothes but I think theres no denying that there is creativity there whether its wearable or not, ugly or beautiful.muxu said:haha..i actually like how he loves him self so much..or else he would be dull like alot of other designers
but truly..i like his early days at dior
amazing coutures he did back than
most of his work after 2000 were just for show..and to be honest..alot of them i dont like
i do like how..as if all of a sudden..darkness fell on 2005..comparing to pre 2004 shows
good stuff

Doctor Caroline said:lol Thank you for calling me rude Ill take it as a complimentAs for the rest of that newspaper article u sent u misunderstood me. I wasnt trying to take anything out using Galliano, Id never do something so p*ssy. I was just giving my opinion. You're obviously in love with the guy and his designs and I simply dont "'j'adore" him as much as u. I never said i hated him, his earlier works were very wearble. I have two Dior handbags and they're very stylish. U misunderstood.
tott said:Dior of today would probably have been more like a mixture of Yohji Yamamoto, Jil Sander and Prada.
j´adore dior said:you are welcome Diorling
i stand for what i said on my previous post, i´ve had some few arguments with other spoters about Galliano before but you are probably the simplest and most irresponsible one, it seems you didn´t even read that whole "newspaper article" i wrotte, or don´t even remember, or are willing to stand for the things you´ve said, anyway, you got me there, i do admire his work and his contributions to the fashion world, the most important one, of course, is the re-establishment of the "bias cut" and his ability to mix influences and cultures from all over the world and periods of history in collections that are so endlessly inspiring and influential, even his last couture collection, i don´t know why i gave it a bad review back then, i guess i was being stupidly narrow minded enaugh not to get the whole passion and energy that was going through it.
ps: j´adore Dior.
