My only pet peeve is not to let fashion dictate what I enjoy. I think rules are rather fascist, actually. I think appreciating things of beauty is the only "rule" I live by.

Scott, when I was clicking on this thread, it said that the last person posted is versace_goddess. I started reading your comment without looking at the name, and I'm thinking, "WTF? This is impossible." I was totally shocked. And only then I saw your name. Well said, my friend :flower:

my daddy told me when i was a little girl that you can always tell a lady by her shoes and her handbag. i fully agree.

no black pants with white socks

no vpl

i don't wear clothing that is too big or too small

i only wear velvet during velvet season (i.e. thanksgiving until the end of winter)

i tuck in button down shirts (with rare exceptions)

do not go out of the house in wrinkled clothing

flip flops go with everything...i will probably even wear them at my wedding

if your pants (not jeans) have a belt loop, wear a belt.

  • "A lady never goes without stockings"
  • Never wear more than 3 colours
  • "Don`t shine til after dark" (gold & silver Accessoires belong to my evenings!)
  • Only one "big" piece of jewellery (either brooche, earrings or necklace)
  • No black stockings to black skirts
  • Either acctuate lips OR eyes - never both
  • NEVER EVER wear stockings in open-toe Sandals!
I also dislike to layer my clothes and think everything must FIT PERFECTLY - I never wear anything "baggy".

just two.
1. If when you wear and oufit, you feel like crap, chances are that's what you'll look like as well.
2. If you are unsure of an outfit, wear it anyway. If people stare toss the outfit aside at the end of the day and call it "a learning experience":woot:
