I loved Lee McQueen and especially his work. He was a wonderful artist and desginer. ONE OF A KIND.

However, I nevertheless appreciate Sarah's work; yes, she does do some feminine looks that aren't my personal favorites. Yes, I'd like to see a little more darkness, and a little more street edge translated up. Yes, I hope she doesn't get comfortable, that she continues to evolve and push the edges, mixing things up, varying her aesthetic. And yeah, more pants/suits too.
Still this collection is no "sell out" in my opinion. There are saleable things, for sure. However, there are still some looks here that push at the boundaries of fetishism, satire, and pure art, that show her ability to go to places Lee would. Let's hope she moves into those more dangerous/artistic directions going forward, instead of the way of commerce. The powers-that-be will be pushing on her. Hope she holds onto her inner renegade, the one she must've shared with Lee those years they worked side-by-side.
For now, these make me melt and give me hope - go Sarah!
