Alexander Wang for H&M

Well just compare both collections, Isabel Marant offered great clothes, with a cool touch, good looking, great fabrics and completely wearable.

Wang's collection as much as I love his work, this collection is really bad, not wearable at all, an H&M costumer is someone practical and that wants good looking wearable clothes, not a gym infused look, strange to wear everywhere unless you are a Personal Trainer or an Athlete, I was excited for this but I was really disappointed with the end result, WANG everywhere, huge zippers tagged with WANG, it's WANG everything ... really egocentric!

I was really hyped about this collaboration but it was a serious let down, usually bloggers and celebrities wear all these clothes before the launch, and until now I can count AdR, Rihanna and those two bloggers in the previous page, if you remember, the Versace & the Marant collection was everywhere on the blogosphere and Hollywood.

I may be totally wrong but in my opinion this will sink really hard.Completely out of place...

The Isabel Marant collection really wasn't that great. In addition it was really overpriced. Just saying.

Nothing so far compares to Versace and Lanvin in my opinion. I hope Wang doesn't sell so I can get something on sale. However, I doubt that. It will sell out and live on eBay.

I don't quite understand why people keep saying this collection is unwearable when it is wearable like anything in HM. And not forgetting Wang is an American designer has a lot of clout, media darling, English speaking and all.

The Marant collection was of a pretty bad quality and I thought the ethnic prints ( I remember seeing one awful men's jeans with colorful embroidery on the front racks after racks in the Vegas store) were difficult to replicate with at regular HM factories, hence the disaster.

Wang's clothes, given its simplicity American designs, are way easier to be produced at HM facilities hence I am guessing the lack of quality is less apparent and hence will be more likely to be a sellout.

That said, His mainline T-shirts are of a reasonable quality despite being unreasonably priced.

I am not really looking forward to this collection, has never been much of his fan.

The Versace collection was appalling. So horrendously cheap in its fabrications and visually, even cheaper. Lanvin is the best for me in collection terms whilst Cavalli did have some beautifully constructed pieces, even though it was again, not for me in design terms.

Yeah, I agree with those saying that the Lanvin collection was the best so far. I still wear the suit I bought from that.

I'll pop into the store to check this stuff out in person (if there's anything left, i mean ... i certainly won't be lining up at 5am to get at it).

I was so excited about this collaboration initially but I do not see a single item that I'd actually like to have in my wardrobe- not even a backpack and I've been obsessed with leather backpacks!

What a sad failure. :(

I think those mini boxing gloves are cute. But that's the only thing that appeals to me, and even then I find the labeling really ridiculous. I mean, I know Louis Vuitton or Coach or any other brand that does the whole obvious marketing do it, but there's something about it being "Wang" that seems just wrong. I know he can't help it, and that is his name, but it's weird.

I think collabs like these usually are also rather experimental. Like ideas that didn't get passed for the mainline gets passed here, like these yoga mats and 'wang'. I wouldn't go so far to say 'viktor and rolf' is fine but 'wang' is weird though.

Frankie's 2nd look looks really good from the waist down, that huge and unflattering jacket with that crazy belt... no!
Her last look is also really cool, that white t-shirt dress is really good reminiscing of Wang's SS13 collection. Other than that..... :ninja:

Jesus even the sneakers posted above have Wang written, who wants that?

Thanks rebel for the latest photos from this collection! :flower:

It will, but you can guarantee it's the piece they'll have bought the most stock of.
