Alexander Wang for H&M

I'm let down by this collection. It's "performance wear" which is transparently gym wear or at least geared towards. And that's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just not for everyone.

I am a fan of Alexander Wang and was hoping he would bring back archive pieces. He may be young, but he's established enough "iconic" pieces to warrant an H&M collaboration afterall.

I like his reimagining of things and would've liked to see a true lifestyle collection with everyday wear, cocktail, office wear, etc. Unless he does another collection (I hope so), this was an opportunity to show what his brand is about to the mass and it's more ranged and smarter than just logo-ed gym wear.

That said, I'm eyeing the oversized moto jacket, the wang sweaters, and a lot of the accessories like the towel and the yoga mat. But to be honest, I'll probably end up getting more.

Very curious about the NY show tomorrow.

I have to agree with many people, such a let down with this collection. I'm a Wang's fan and the sport direction it's wrong when he had so many iconic pieces from last shows. Some nice pieces but the most of them are for the gym. Alber Elbaz should have given some advice to Alexander on how to make a perfect collaboration for H&M

It has a strong aesthetic. I will give it that. I think it's going to be really, really interesting to see how this sells. I reckon the merchandisers will have been pretty savvy with this and there wont actually be all that much of the true sporty pieces. I just can't see this flying out of the London stores other than into the hands of people putting it on e-bay personally.

What is that fourth item in post 212? A bucket?
The logoed hats are gonna be an absolute eyesore in the streets.
