Some pieces are quite pricey for that kind of material. I believe that T by Alexander Wang is cheaper on sale season than some prices that he offers for his H&M collections
I'm not, and I still cannot believe that I bought 3 pieces from the Isabel Marant collection. The Marant pieces were pretty decent but I didn't feel anything more special than what I do with a normal H&M purchase. That's my one complaint with each and every designer collaboration. Do these designers even do their research into the typical H&M customer? I fail to see one realistically versatile or wearable item from Wang's collection.
I'm wondering if H&M will enforce any policies to deter these opportunistic vultures. I know Target turns a blind eye, cause their collections have been hit or miss...I remember seeing the JPG stuff on the clearance racks. Like, loads of it. So in a case like that, they'd be happy for anyone to come in and stock up. Whereas with Missoni, well, those you couldn't find anywhere.
I honestly think that a lot of designers are stretching themselves far too thin. I really don't understand why Wang thought that ppl would buy this collection. I truly never understood the collaboration in the first place and I believe that this will hurt his brand more than help it. I believe this will spark debates on how many projects a designer should take on. Also it makes it seem like he is just a big name right now and not actually being an asset to the fashion industry. What happens when he becomes so commercial that he looses his "cool" factor. That is what I would be worried about if I was on his team.
I don't understand how some people pronounce against this collaboration, last year everyone was excited with Isabel Marant and now reject the Wang's work, which has more concept than Marant collection.
