Alice Temperley for Target

Temperley is the most pretentious label in the world and surely it matchs their costumers... the quality is always a skimp - perfect for Target.

Alice has used the old tactics to marry a rich man .. and was very silly saying once to the UK press that she will be the next Coco Chanel.

get alive.

I love this ivory jacket, the sweater looks like it could be cute, I also like the fingerless gloves. I have a cashmere slightly oversized beret from last year and a cute scarf that goes with it, so I'm probably accent with those pieces and a nice pair of MJs. I wasn't sure about my Target dress from the Libertine collection but I wore it yesterday with a nice fitted black jacket to work and got a compliment, so that was nice.

I love all these collaberations. Frankly the prices designers clothes charge are starting to make me a little ill, I'm dying to read that new book about Luxury, something about how its all gone...

what is everyone hoping to get?

i try not to set my mind/heart on any one thing before i see the items in person (if i can)..
because so often i feel like the stuff looks better in the pictures (though the opposite is sometimes true)
and i actually end up hating the things i thought i would have liked...
or just feel a bit let down that it's not as i imagined it would be

i like the long sweater than seanutbutter posted, the dress underneath it and the victorian blouse she mentioned...
we'll see though ;)

That's the problem with Target clothing, in my opinion. The pieces online are often tailored to perfection, so when you go in yourself and try something on the fit is odd and incorrect. I never buy anything from their website for that reason.

Anyway, hopefully we all won't be disappointed after seeing the collection in person. I'm just hoping my local Targets will even stock all the pieces, because they have a problem with doing so. They never did stock the Libertine scarves, bags, blazers or sweaters.

I had that problem, until I found out that someone at a Flea Market in my area was selling a bunch of Proenza Schouler and other GO stuff I had never even seen for $5 or less. I'm soo thrilled. Now if I don't catch it at Target I know where it will end up. :D I should grab some and send it you you guys. haha I didn't see any Libertine stuff though. Maybe in time..

^ I completely forgot; my local thrift stores do that as well. I remember browsing through their racks years ago, before I truly was interested in fashion, and seeing brand new Target clothing. In fact, I still do see some Target pieces, although I have yet to see any Go International collections. Thanks for the heads up, though. Maybe I should check out a Goodwill sometime soon.

Yeah, I see Target stuff at Goodwill, but it's not much. The people at this Flea Market have tons of it. I have no idea how they get it though. Maybe they know someone there and buy it cheap before it goes on sale.

Esquire, I cannot beleive she said that about being the new Coco Chanel...as if!

Actually, they don't hold things forever until they're sold, so after a certain amount of time has passed the item goes to $0.00 and is no longer in the system and shouldn't be available to buy. So they salvage it, and send it to the goodwill (if it's not messed up and labeled to be destroyed) even if it's brand new.

I have to have that long grey cardigan. Something tells me it will be the must-have piece since I've seen it in several mags.

Any early sightings or reviews?

i've been keeping my eyes open. i went to the target in the bronx last night to get some things and they still had libertine stuff out, crammed all pell-mell onto one rack. (i was hoping they'd be a little early as they were with the libertine collection -- by nearly half a week!) but so far, no...

i just saw an ad for it...
it is AWFUL....

some girl swinging on a giant chandelier that is so obviously and BADLY photoshopped...

...

the WORST...
*shakes head*...:ermm:...

I tried on a few items today. They look good from a distance, but the quality is horrible, even for Target. One of the buttons on the black ls blouse fell off when I was trying it on. Needless to say, I didn't purchase anything.

When again is this collection supposed to debut? I went to Target yesterday and there was still plenty of Libertine items in stock.

The line is out today. I was just there and purchased a bunch of stuff but 1/2 is going back. My favorite so far is the ivory jacket above - but I got in a blue - it was the only one. And it's adorable on ! I love it. No sighting of the long grey sweater yet - I am hoping to get that too ...
