I have to respectfully disagree on two counts. Firstly, with regards to her defending herself in panel: I had no problem with her telling Twiggy she was not prickly. But she should have waited until Twiggy was done speaking. It was rude to interrupt. And, like Nigel said, she could have done it with some charm. She was utterly without tact.
With regards to Heather: yes, she said that the girls were mean to Heather and she didn't join in on their catty remarks. But nor did she tell them to stop. And she just sat there while they were saying these things. If she objected so much but felt she couldn't say anything the least she could have done was left the scene.

Although I find Victoria to be the one with the most potential in the competition, I completely agree with everything you've just written. She's really unaware of how defensive she can be. It's probably something out of her nature/upbringing that she can't control. This would sooner or later damage her in the competition. A smart girl would probably know how to approach situations like this in a respectful and somewhat poised manner ....and unfortunately she didn't!

However I did agree on her right to question what unique quality Twiggy was talking about.

Saleisha totally had the best picture during the "Jungle photoshoot". Her hand touching her skirt looks really soft and gentle, compared to her shoulders that are lovely to look at and create a contrast between soft and hard. The whole set, makeup and styling did her justice moreso than to every other girl. I kind of liked Ebony's picture as well, reminded me of Grace Jones' earlier boomerang work.

What happened with Bianca was that they wanted to bleach her out to a dirty blonde, but her hair had been so permed and colored that it was in really bad shape. If they were to bleach it, it would all fall out. So the only decision was to "start fresh."

I also thought she looked like Rihanna but if you think about it, this was filmed BEFORE rihanna got that cut (i think anyway) so...

as for Victoria, I just think if someone says 'you're prickly' (and in a very passive aggressive way might I add) and you respond they're going to say 'look she's talking back again, she's prickly' Realistically if someone critiques you're personality you're not going to just laugh and say haha okay. And then the judges would say 'you never defend yourself! stand up for yourself!' isn't tyra trying to show strong confident women? I agree Victoria didn't have to cut off Twiggy but that could be down to editing. I kind of wondered about the 'neck rings' though because they do airbrush the photos heavily I'm sure they've airbrushed out that sort of thing before.....I don't know. I'm not saying there was some sort of illicit goings on behind the scenes but....you never know.....

It's angled too much around her face. They should have had a blunt bang and sides.

And, why does no one bring up Lisa? I think she has the best look out of all the girls. Really elegant and beautiful!

We brought up Lisa a few pages back. I love her too, along with Heather.

Oh, and all the crap about "Heather has Asperger's so she doesn't really connect well with people" - did anyone catch how she was holding Chantal's hand when Chantal was blubbering after the shoot? As usual, it's all editing. I'm sure they edited Victoria to make her more of a snoot than she is.

But still, it's all about favorites - the edit was them showing Ebony how she came across and tried to make her laugh. Victoria's edit was them telling her off and then Twiggy trapping her (whoever said passive-aggressive hit the nail on the head).

Anyway, we talk about the editing every season so I don't know why I'm rambling about it again now.

I'm starting to like Jenah more, too. I like Bianca waaayy more with a shaved head. Ambreal looks better with short hair too. And I still like Ebony.

Oh man, if you go to the CW site, you can see the pic of Saleisha in the Old Navy spot (remember how she won that challenge?). The hair is just NOT working for her. Why didn't they do Louise Brooks like they said? She is totally Tootie. Or Janet from Three's Company.

chantals body looks like its detached or something..

I think Ebony's body looks weird in the pic..it looks like her legs are very big compared to her upper body.

I dont like Ambreal or Bianca's pics..You can pick loads of girls from the street that look exactly the same.

Heather's pic: I'm not sure if I love it or hate it..but it does get my attention.

I love Janets shot although it's a very commercial pose.


But guys let's be real...ANTM isn't about being the best model, but about being the BEST rolemodel/spokesperson..

I think they tried to go for the model in the beginning of ANTM, but look what a disaster Naima turned out to be..

Only Eva and Jaslene have been hitting the spotlight a bit.

Caridees career was already dead before she started...same goes for Naima and that ANNOYING Nicole Linkletter.
