Asian Eyes

aizawa, you're gorgeous! I love the way you do your eyes, how do you do it?

thx :flower: well i use pencil liner first on the top lid then add a tiny bit of beige shimmery shadow then trace the pencil line with liquid eyeliner (i  the revlon colourstay liquid liner). finish it off with a few coats of mascara on the top lash & bottom, i tend to go over board.

anyways do you girls do your foundation first then eye make-up? a make-up artist from korea told me to do the eyes first then foundation, but i find it really hard cos my lashes also end up have foundation on it.

Usually, when I wear black eye liner, I apply it to the top and bottom of my eyes, as well.

I also use mineral based powder foundations usually, as it seems to blend better than liquid foundations.

I should probably lighten up on the eyebrows though.

During the day, I usually don't bother wearing anything, besides a matte pressed powder, some clear mascara, with the accompaniment of eyelash curlers, and some lip balm.

Well, I have a bit of a dilemma. I'm Asian, but I have round eyes with large double lids. I would actually like them to look more almond shaped. Any advice?

Helsabot, you're so pretty!
I love girls who can wear that much eyeliner and still look so fresh :flower:

helsabot you are so cute, haha!

i read this thread a lot because I have the lowest creases ever, I might as well not have them....i have very feline eyes, can anyone reccomend an application technique to accentuate this?

this is me, i just use black eyeliner pencil fill in my crease and make it cat-eyed looking at the corner, then trace the thing over with liquid liner (and dot tiny dots of it at the bottom lashes for thicker looking lashes), and i wear the mascara  and ignore the red spot on my face (i picked blackhead on it) and my ancient undereyes circle.

That looks really pretty! It really opens up your eyes!

how is the revlon colorstay liquid eyeliner? is it tear/water/sweat/rub prof?

have you guys tried the kanebo 38 eyeliner? it's pretty good. but i'd like to try the revlon one.......

This is how I do my eye make up. I always use brown e/s or e/l. Black makes my eyes look extra small

You're so pretty! What's that lip color you're wearing?

the problem w/ my eyes is kinda like the pic on #202, the right onehttp://www.thefashionspot.com/forums/../attachment.php?attachmentid=201446&d=1149006856

basically my folds r different, one is deeper or folds more than the other..
which makes one eye looks bigger than the other,
and i have problem w/ putting on eyeliners, cuz it will make the size difference even more obvious...=/....

anyone has any ideas about how to fix that problem?
i heard using eyeshadow instead of eyeliner can make it look a bit better..
idk tho

^ I have that problem with my eyes, too. They used to look the same up until a couple years ago... I don't know why they changed. Anyway, I don't think there's anything you can do about this problem. You'll just have to live with it. Besides, I'm sure no one notices except you. I point it out to some of my friends and they claim not to notice, although sometimes my left eye (the eye that seems smaller) changes around and looks normal. It's weird.

I have the eyelid problem, too; where sometimes both my eyelids look Caucasian and sometimes one looks Caucasian and the other Asian. This usually happens after I've been crying or I've had too much/little sleep. Though it also helps it go back to normal if I close the eye whose eyelid has gone weird, place my fingernail where I want the crease to be and drag it along my eyelid as I slowly open my eye. You have to do this millions of times a day before it will stay that way though, unless the sleeping more/less works.
