Balenciaga F/W 2008.09 Paris

about the jewellery issue... havent i read/heard somewhere that the one shown was actually real jewellery and not custom?

just the fact that every look had it's matching necklace and bracelets reinforces my belief that as a side effect of economic recession, and the stars not being what the rich are referencing when making fashion-buying decisions anymore... we might be getting to the end of the it-bags decade to start with a whole new jewellery era. i think we've discussed this already on another thread... the thing is that if peoples money is threatened by unstable economy, they'd rather spend their money on diamonds that will never lose their value, and not so much clothes that quickly date and can be easily copied by the mass production brands

That Suzy Menkes interview was actually good,i usually think she is way to akward in videos but since Nicolas mostly tallked it was great, thanks for posting.

I had mixed feelings at the first sight, but now I oficially love it, one of my fav FW 08 collections! ^_^

brilliant thought. I totally agree

What's being male got to do with it ? Thats an awful argument!

clearly you missed his original post. I don't see anything wrong with men commenting on women's clothing; but it's a bit strange to hear a man saying too "stiff". Did he ever try it on?

How a material hangs and folds shows it's stiffness. Did you ever try it on? ;)

I think Caffeine was saying that it's slightly odd to hear a man complain about a woman's wardrobe concern, such as how the clothes feel and fit.

As for being too stiff, I really can't imagine how anyone could make that judgment only from still pictures. Even the 2 minute video clip on style.com doesn't give you a real idea on how the clothes move.

I'm so looking forward to seeing this collection in the store, after hearing about some of the pieces from the trunkshow thanks to dior_couture1245. It promises to be fantastic.

I think the past collections are way too structural. I do like them, but not very wearable...

I'll give my 2 thumbs up for Ghesquire and Balenciage ... Cristobal must be proud of him :D

I wish we could've seen the entire jewelry range. Some of those pieces were absolutely amazing looking.

And the shoes, even in shell pink they still look killer.
