I would assume flats would have been more comfortable than boots, we know she has a pair of those which would have gone great with the dress. To me that seems like the logical choice.

Hahaha, touche. And true! Except that maybe she wanted boots for that whole warmth factor - the weather being cold/rainy, etc. And yes, I know the logical response to that will be that she should have worn jeans and flats, thereby being fashionable and functional, but my guess (which is based on nothing, I grant you) is she wanted to be slightly more dressed up in a nice summer dress, out of respect to the occasion and because..... well, she's a girl, so VANITY.

Wow. There are some strong opinions about this girl on this thread. Just happened upon this threat and search through the photos. She has got fabulous hair. Not crazy about black boots and a white dress. If the boots were for potential weather threats I think a different color would have been better, but it is always hard to pair boots with a lacy white dress.

But if that above photo from 4am, makes me jealous. At 4am I would look like a mess. Not all shinny hair and make-up looking good. Her style may not be the most adventurous, but it is classic and tastefull.

You said it perfectly. I dont love the boots with the dress, but I get why she did it. And you're right, it's so hard to pair BOOTS with a lacy dress.

And when she does try to deviate from her classic taste to something more trendy, it sometimes (often?) fails. I think her style is, and should remain, tasteful, simple and classic.

Oh, and your comment about how you'd look at 4am? Spot on! I've got pictures after a night out, and believe me, I'd never show my face in public again if those were shown out in public- I'm such a mess past midnight!!

Could be. I cant imagine wearing boots when it's humid though. I get all sticky and feel so gross. But to each her own, right?

And though it was warm on Sunday, wasnt that somewhat of a surprise, because from what I'd heard, there were thunderstorms and lots of rain for about two weeks leading up to the concert? And there was even a severe weather warning for Sunday? I could be wrong, obviously; I wasnt even London. But I remember hearing that during the concert, that they were so surprised and happy that the weather held up.

^ The weather has been really bad in some areas of England with floods etc but around London its been ok. Sunday was a bit of a surprise what with the sun being out most of the day. She didnt look terrible that for sure, her style has definetley improved, but it wasnt great either imo

On another note, her mum's got a great figure! And she (Mrs. Middleton) looks pretty good in her outfit, better than Kate, I think... except her bra's showing (I think) in some of the pictures.... and is it just me, or is Mrs. Middleton wearing those ballet flats that Kate's been sporting of late? The Gucci-ish ones?

Kate looks okay... very simple and minimalistic. Nothing great but nothing bad either. Which, I think, counts as a win for her, seeing as it's so often hit-or-miss with her.

I actually thought she looked great in the white jeans. Made me want to go get some slimmer fitting and ankle length ones for my trip to the bahamas. I have some wide leg ones.

Now that outfit with the grey jeans is perfect! Her reaction shot-umm, no. She is just very, very old looking with heavy features. And she looks so oddly American to me (I'm American, so i can say that). She is not very English looking at all.

Well its just they're riding up at the top and really tight around the crotch and high-waisted...its just a bad combination but other than that I think she looks great
