Chelsy Davy

^ I think harry's very brave for going to Iraq - not that the other servicemen there aren't, but because of his royal status, I would imagine he's going to be such a target. I'm honestly worried for him.

It has just been confirmed that Harry has been banned from Iraq:

It's claimed tonight that military chiefs are engaged in an "eleventh hour review" relating to Prince Harry's imminent deployment to Iraq.

The Prince and Princess of Wales' 22-year-old son is due to leave Britain in May for a six-month tour of duty alongside other members of his regiment of the Blues and Royals of The Household Cavalry.

The front page of Thursday's Sun newspaper is exclusively claiming that Harry won't fight alongside other colleagues and will instead be posted to a desk job far from danger.

However, in recent days there has been an increased sense throughout the British media that there are serious doubts that Harry will even travel to Iraq.

Alongside a front page banner headline reading '
Harry Won't Fight: Iraq dreams threatened', Thursday's Sun newspaper is set to claim that there are serious concerns with the British Army over the earlier decision to acquiesce to the personal wishes of the third-in-line to the throne by allowing him to go to war.

Speaking as part of an interview for his 21st birthday in September 2005, Prince Harry vociferously declared that he would rather quit the army than be made to sit on his "****" while his fellow soldiers fought on the frontline.

The Sun will claim that such are the fears both for Harry's safety and the safety of those soldiers who may be targetted due to their proximity to the Prince that he will now be consigned to a desk job, far from the front line.

This decision reportedly forms part of an "eleventh hour review" of the royal Second Lieutenant's role in Iraq.

This news comes just days after earlier reports suggested militia groups are preparing to target the Prince.

One message purportedly distributed by a terror group in the region claims the Prince will be a target of kidnap a statement from the Mehdi Army warning: "We are awaiting the arrival of the young, handsome, spoilt prince with baited breath...We will be generous with him. For he will return to his grandmother but without ears."

Although February's announcement that Harry was to be allowed to serve in a war zone was initially welcomed by much praise throughout the media, with headlines acclaiming the brave and adult Prince who is admirably determined to serve Queen and Country, the general concensus now appears to be that this decision was irresponsible.

In recent weeks, several British service personnel, including a friend of Prince William, have been killed or seriously injured by roadside bombs.

Such devices have targetted British troops on patrol in Scimitar tanks in Basra, the region in which it's believed Harry will serve. Having trained as a Troop Commander, it's believed Harry would be undertaking such patrols as those which have recently been the focus of numerous deadly bomb attacks.

Considering recent events in Iraq, there are likely some who believe even a desk job is a step too far for such a senior member of the Royal Family.

Suicide bombers have recently infiltrated the supposedly safe green zone in which VIPs and army personnel reside.

A bomb recently exploded during a visit to Baghdad by American Vice President Dick Cheney.

Meanwhile, several members of the democratically elected Iraqi Parliament were killed earlier this month when a bodyguard hired to protect one of the MPs exploded a bomb in the canteen.

^I typically don't like her style all that much...it is a little tacky, although I must say it has improved over the past few years. But I do love what I know of her personality.

Yes, but what about his men that he commands? If he's a target, then the soldiers that are immediately around him are direct targets too, and they haven't had the luxury of having farewell holidays with their girlfriends in barbados :innocent:

I wouldn't like to my relationship under a constant media spotlight - an abnormal strain for anyone I guess

Thats not true. They're saying its under review but nothing has been decided. Latest word is that they still plan on sending him.

I know this may sound strange...
but I think she looks classier in the less clothes she wears.
When she is just in a mini and tank I think she's cute...
but then when she has an outfit + tacky accessories she looses me.
Stick to bikinis girl!!

^ I know what you mean and I agree with you... she is a beach girl :)
