Hey paddy lovers - I have a question regarding colour.

What colour do you think would be more versatile year round- Whiskey or Bleu Nuit (the navy/royal blue from the summer season)?

I already have a chocolate paddy, and love it to death - question is, should I keep the more neutral colour (Whiskey) or the trendy, standout colour (Blue)? I wish I could keep them both! But I can't (bec. I've got my eye on a Spy :D )

I wear a lot of jeans and think the blue looks great paired up with them - but then again the whiskey would go with everything. Just like my chocolate.

Help! Can't decide!

I believe the blue nuit is the from the F/W 05 season. this season's blue is jeans moyen - a grayish blue.

I was in Selfridges in manchester yesterday and they had a deep navy bluey grey colour, Is that the one you mean? I didn't personally think it looked too good with black, so I would say which ever one goes best with your wardrobe. My vote would be Whiskey.

oops, sorry for the double post. naughty computer!

If you can only keep one my vote is Whiskey. I need to know something though. Did you happen to purchase the blue nuit from Nordstrom in Atlanta and have it shipped to you? The reason I ask is that someone here posted about seeing a blue nuit at Nordstrom in Atlanta. I called two days ago and the s/a mentioned she shipped it to a customer in CA. I am next in line if it is returned to the store! I have been dying to see that color IRL.

Hi Everyone. Well, I see some familiar names from the Everything Balenciaga thread! Anyway, I really hate to be one of those who asks dumb questions without reading all the posts in the entire thread, but in this case, I must... Please forgive :flower:! Anyway, my dumb question is this, how do you tell an fake Paddy from an authentic? I saw an eBay auction (and, yes, I know that there are some terrible people out there selling replicas at horribly high prices, just ready to rip us off), but this one doesn't look too bad: 6843985123. However, it's this kind of element in the description that throws me off:

"This bag is 100% authentic,
but has no tags and no papers because
it was bought directly from the factory in Italy.
"

Can anyone give me some tips on what to look for? Does anyone happen to have a fabulous blog in which colors, hardware and other details are described? Thanks SOO much!!

So I just took out my tan bag since I haven't used it in awhile and noticed some peeling underneath the loop of the lock. It isn't horrible but it does show the silver everyone talks about with their peeling issues.

I guess peeling is inevitable. I have had this bag since September 05 and it has received quite a bit of use. Even though I protected the plate the padlock sits on with the leather zipper cover, the loop of the lock and the loop on the plate where the lock sits will eventually start showing wear. I doubt there is anything we can do to prevent this, being it is metal on metal rubbing everytime the lock is flipped back and forth to get into the bag.

You know, being new to this thread, but having popped in once and a while, I've heard talk about the peeling hardware. I'm sure it's terribly frustrating... I wonder why they didn't just make the locks and hardware out of some sort of solid brass alloy with a brushed finish? I mean, something like that would never peel...

Hey all...

I just received an email from Net-a-porter saying that the tan mini paddy that I'm on the wait list for is scheduled to arrive, and that I have the opportunity to pre-order it now.

Well, I've ended up buying one from Bahrain instead, so I was just wondering if I could give my spot on the pre-order list to one lucky girl here :p who is interested in buying a tan mini paddy.

If any of you are interested, let me know and I'll send an email to Nap requesting a switch in name (they should allow taht, right?). I'd hate to have a waitlist spot go wasted! :D

I agree, cause I just doublechecked my new 06 whiskey (received in December) and that is peeling a little too. So is the one I am sending back to Bergdorf that I JUST got last week!

So I went to order the hobo from LVR, even including Mammab's awesome pic so they could see exactly what I wanted and got this reply:
We have been asked a few times for the HOBO model but we have been told by Chloè that this model doesn't exist, and that it is surely fake.

Just a lie because their buyers didn't order any... I believe there are five or six different hobo styles?

I agree with Diorella. In fact, didn't LVR carry the hobo style at the beginning of F/W 05? It goes to show how utterly clueless SA's and CS can be!

Oh I know, ridiculous. But actually not a problem for me since I decided to stick with the classic paddy this time around.

Oh, how utterly ridiculous; just say you aren't carrying it if you don't have any, to lie about it is just silly.
