Colored Denim

They are so 80's remind me of thsoe dodgey versace jeans my mum had in the 80's lol.

I remember wanting a pair of these kind of jeans ^ funnily enough versace childrens line when I was younger...I thought they were great, I went in to buy them but they'd all sold out, ah the happy mid-nineties. :ninja:

I guess the only colour that I'll ever dare to try would be violet or a very deep purple. (since black and grey do not count as coloured denims)
Maybe navy too...

But the other colours are just too neo-glow for me...

i think colour jeans are generally easier to pull off during the summer than in the winter.

I don't consider black and navy to be "colored" denim, and I like both.. The other colors look way too 80s for me. They look like they should be worn with an oversized t-shirt with a parrot printed on it, or a souvenir t-shirt from Six Flags:ninja:

LOLOL

The only colors I'm willing to wear are off-white and white...and even white can look dodgy if it isnt worn carefully...

I have a pair of dark wine colored Dickies and a pair of dark brown Levi's, a little baggy and straight cut. Damn my ghetto roots... but they look killer with the cuffs rolled in instead of out and a pair of Doc's.

I bought the Tsubi lilac jeans. I've never worn them though... They don't suit me, but they are so pretty... ebay..? :innocent:

coloured jeans are so hot right now in Melbourne..The most popular colours being peach, yellow, and aqua green. I have a pair of bright blue and green jeans myself... nd u'll find they're pretty easy to match with.:p

I've considered buying a pair of red jeans actually, although it is bordeline "too 80s" I think it would work with something grey or black (and not too tight).. But then again, I've been missing colors an awful lot lately!

.. Never really thought of black/grey as colored denim either

Fruity Denim... Bright colored jeans!

with tsubi introducing a slew of bright colored skinny jeans in accordance with the 80s and increasingly more celebrities wearing only black and colors "of that nature", what is to become of this trend?

I don't think this is going to be a big trend..... bright colors are way over (bye bye mod era....!)... S/S 06 is about washed out pastel colors, neutrals, and F/W 06.07 about dark and rich colors.....

So I highly doubt fruity denim colors are going to make it big.....

Not liking it at all.. :ninja:

this is a trend that'll never take off. topshop had a dozen pairs and i doubt they sold a single one. i mean, what the hell do you wear with pastel blue jeans? ugh!

^ Well you never know.... some people have "unique" tastes.... :p

This trend has been circulating around Williamsburg, the East Village and the LES for a few years now, it's really not new.

I used to see it around here (Australia) a lot a few months back but now it seems that trend has died out but you'd be surprised on some people it actually looks really good.

i honestly can't imagine fruity coloured denim looking good on anyone. i am slightly biased in that i like my denim old school blue, but really... no.
