lol, look at the WAYWT thread, a few members are wearing bright tights these couple days (me included, but haven't upload my pics yet)

i wore my purple tights today.. despite them having a little run/hole on the calf

it was definitely eye-catching... i saw a few people looking when i was walking through the mall after work today

i was originally going to wear one of the two navy blue pairs that have been in my closet forever..
apparently they have been there since my childhood or something because they were WAY too small/short!
i couldn't pull either pair up all the way so it's time or me to let them go

^ sounds hot, coincidently, I wore bright purple tights on MOnday as well! My art teacher absolutely loved it, and lotta stares in the hallways as well. Planning to wear bright blue tomorrow, ha "always push the boundary".

they ARE everywhere...aren't they?!?!......

i luv em..
they are so cheerful sometimes and so subdued and elegant sometimes...
i know a lot of people say they have been doing this for awhile...
and believe me when i say that i have too...

but i guess that is what makes me so happy to see it get more popular...
and maybe why it stood out to me...
i love seeing what cool combos people come up with...
it's such a great way to add some personality to your look...

anyway today in art one of my friends was talking to my OTHER friend about a time he remembered when she wore bright blue tights to school.. and, according to him, she looked like an alien .. yet he still liked her outfit. bizarre, random story, i know! but when i heard this i thought of this thread and everyone here who loves colored tights!

Anthropologie Shows Us How to Wear Colored Tights

By now, black tights have become as ubiquitous as black leggings. They’re everywhere. While there’s nothing wrong with that, the avante garde among us may start thinking “same old, same old” and want to steer clear from all the sameness.
How to stand out among a sea of black? Well, Anthropologie shows us how in their Solstice Catalog.
Here we learn not to be afraid to mix bold colors with bold prints. Electric blue tights become a must have.

Here we learn to mix bold colors with subdued ones. Royal blue with white. Cream with cranberry. Turquoise and light blue. Khaki and yellow. You get the picture.

Here we learn that it’s OK to mix patterned tights with patterned clothing. The patterns don’t have to match but the colors need to be similar.

For those of us who are reticent about using colored tights, it’s OK to have them peeking out from under a wide trouser too. It’s also a good idea to have the same color elsewhere in your outfit.

Definitely not for the faint hearted but isn’t it oh-so-refreshing?​

OMG, just can not get enough of them, maybe I need way more than just the basic colors... or I need every color possible.

i just counted my coloured tights .. yes im bored lol i was curious after reading this thread what colours etc i have ... i have 25 pairs of coloured tights no two pairs the same colour not to mention ones in wash at friends houses etc .. i think i have a problem .. i think im addicted

but a big thank you to everyone for posting such inspiring pictures thanks alot i apriciate it seems as over half my tights are unworn or still in packet its given me ideas how to wear them

i'm thinking i'll go to TJ Maxx or another discount place this weekend and try to stock up on some interesting colors! lots of my bright colors i stole from my mom because she never wore them, but they are too big for me.. is TJ Maxx the best place to go, I know someone mentioned it earlier..?

you've just saved my tights from going in the trash

i tried snapping some pics because i also wore one of the blk skirts i had gotten from the simply vera for kohls line (i think you may have the same one - pleated a bit in the front with pockets )...
my light/mirror photo taking situation was just not working for me tonight though
so, no pics..

next time though!

i've got some dark green tights that are calling out to be worn

you can definitely find some good ones there!

the purple pair i wore today is from there...

and you can get them for relatively cheap prices as well so you can stock up...!
I've gotten a lot of fun patterned/textured tights there over the years..

love the purple tights on the daisy chain girls!
i put on my bright pink tights today... and then took them off and wore my grey tights flecked with primary colors. pink just seemed too much for a rainy ny morning, but ended up buying a bright purple cashmere scarf at uniqlo for some color instead.
