By now, black tights have become as ubiquitous as black leggings. They’re everywhere. While there’s nothing wrong with that, the avante garde among us may start thinking “same old, same old” and want to steer clear from all the sameness.
How to stand out among a sea of black? Well, Anthropologie shows us how in their Solstice Catalog.
Here we learn not to be afraid to mix bold colors with bold prints. Electric blue tights become a must have.
Here we learn to mix bold colors with subdued ones. Royal blue with white. Cream with cranberry. Turquoise and light blue. Khaki and yellow. You get the picture.
Here we learn that it’s OK to mix patterned tights with patterned clothing. The patterns don’t have to match but the colors need to be similar.
For those of us who are reticent about using colored tights, it’s OK to have them peeking out from under a wide trouser too. It’s also a good idea to have the same color elsewhere in your outfit.
Definitely not for the faint hearted but isn’t it oh-so-refreshing?

i'm thinking i'll go to TJ Maxx or another discount place this weekend and try to stock up on some interesting colors! lots of my bright colors i stole from my mom because she never wore them, but they are too big for me.. is TJ Maxx the best place to go, I know someone mentioned it earlier..?
