Very true, and I say that alll the time, I'm guilty of being a hypocrite!

But I am tempted....I'll keep you all posted if I get brave enough to get a tie-dye or pucci-esq print pair of tights while I'm out shopping tomorrow

Very well put. It's your attitude that dictates your age. I'll be 29 in a few months and I don't feel too old - in fact, i get so many compliments when I wear my other tie dyed tights.

i stopped by 3 stores in the mall today (anthropologie, macy's and lord & taylor) and bought colored tights at each place

most were by the brand Hue - they are relatively inexpensive, perfectly opaque and also have control top to smooth everything out

i got a pretty maroon/burgundy/wine colored DKNY pair, a pair of navy, red, yellow, dark purple (probably the same as the pair tds912 is wearing above), and royal blue..
i went a little overboard

but i took some pics of outfits so i will post..
i think i'm going to wear the royal blue ones to a formal event this weekend..
could be a little risque and non-traditional but i think it's fun with the dress..

i would have loved to find a yellow that is the "maize" color on that great site jenner posted.. could have been fun with my dress and some dark shoes..

i wore blue tights today with a matching blue top .. ive never had so many compliments in my life was well good and i got street paped for a street style thing in paper

omg- if someone tried to take a pic of me...i would run away and hide..
...

^^ thats exsactly what i did hehe i made them make sure not to show my face... i normally make them hide my face but let them take my picture as i think they are doing there job .. and they might get in trouble fi they go back with out pictures .. so im embaressed but nice lol :floweR:

hehe you know how gangs/groups/organisations etc. have like a uniform .. adn people instantly reconise its members from that uniform .. im thinking tfs' new uniform is gonna be coloured tights lol.

ok here we go..

please excuse any awkward poses and jacuzzi-edge balancing tricks i had to do in order to take photos... i think i may actually be holding the ceiling for balance in one
i really need to fix the light situation in my room so i can take pictures in here instead

anyway, the first pic is of my outfit today..
i'm wearing some green ribbed(?) tights by hue that could have been my mother's...
with my blk tory burch flats, short blk temperley for target skirt, white on white striped long-sleeve shirt with a blk naf naf tank top over it.. and a little green turtle pin.. i think it was paul & joe for target... and a grey/blk/grn leopard print scarf..
the tights are a hunter sort of pine tree green.. tough to tell from the photos though i tried




this is dress i'm wearing tomorrow night with royal blue tights..
not sure about the shoes yet but i might wear the pair that is pictured..
the colors are kind of tough to work with the shoes i've got in my closet.. so we'll see..

i got that dress maybe 2 years ago--it was a steal at filene's basement in Boston.. the only one and it happened to be my size so i lucked out!
it's a really great, thick kind of velvety fabric and it fits me really well.. better than the pictures show because of the awkward poses
i didn't even need a dress at that time but i knew it would come in handy
this will be my third time wearing it..
the first time with blue tights though

I bought some tights from them today, too! They had the tie dyed ones I've been searching high and low for so of course I snatched that one up. I'm so excited. I love colored tights. And the best part is I ordered off the children's line since I'm tiny which means they were a lot cheaper. I ordered socks, too, to wear w/cropped skinny jeans. Can't wait!

The hue tights at Macy's were marked $11 each, with the option of two pairs for $17.50 (I believe it was the same at Lord & Taylor).
The pair I got at Lord & Taylor cost $8 even though they were marked $11.. i never know what to think with these department stores and their prices.. nothing is ever clear
but it was to my advantage so i don't care this time
The hue tights at anthropologie were $11 (no deals there)

I absolutely adore coloured tights! It injects a little colour to those drab-winter outfits. I just saw these at etsy.com **edit- link to sellers not permitted** they are so adorable. Sold out though and I noticed they were also pilling too? A bit of a shame..!
