Ha! I don't really hate on AdR's brand of camp in general because she's harmless. It just lacks substance and intellect for me. It's not the same as Du Dudzeele's work, which in most cases belongs in a museum. Or in a John Waters film. Lol.

Her rebranding is kinda exceptional because I think she is maybe one of the most famous stylist in the world who is not famous at all for her work.
In a way, her rebranding itself is part of her work but still...

Generally, I love the idea of a successful person teaching. In a lot of cases, it’s mostly failed trajectories that lead people to that.

Hahahahaha, Philip Plein's heavily worded rant about fakes those who buy into it? How comical. Considering he's been accused of copying more than once. But yes, buying fakes is bad all round and is a needed conversation to have. Just not headlined by him.

The only reason his brand is relevant in fashion is because he pays his way into the conversation.

Anna Wintour sent a minion to get the lay of the loo before using the bathroom at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Monday night.

“One of her assistants entered the women’s bathroom and asked if there was a line . . . because Anna was coming in,” said a source. “The women allowed Anna to cut the line.”

We hear that as Anna entered, she ran into Huma Abedin and the two chatted quickly about theater.

“Anna asked Huma if she liked a play and Huma said, ‘I did. The ending was expected, though.’”

Page Six spotted Abedin at the opening night of Kerry Washington’s “American Son” a night before the awards.

Outside the bathrooms, CFDA honoree Kerby Jean-Raymond, of hot label Pyer Moss, quipped onstage, “I’m going to say something Anna probably doesn’t want me to say . . . She’s a really nice person.”

An attendee told us, “He then looked to Emily Blunt and said, ‘Your movie didn’t do her justice,’ ” referring to “The Devil Wears Prada.”

La La Anthony also attended the Kim Crawford Wines-sponsored soiree and was overheard gushing about her son, Kiyan, 11.
