Dries Van Noten S/S 10 Paris

even the development of the fabrics themselves had their own romantic journeys

I preferred last spring season, when he worked with geometric prints instead of floral ones. But I can't hate his work, with or without floral prints it looks really good.

This is wonderful, particularly the detailing on the jackets and the jewellery...I have a feeling we'll be seeing some 'Indian Summer' editorials in a few magazine based off recent collections...

He makes printed pants so appealing. I don't think I'll ever tire of this sort of pattern mixing! <3

Dries always has the best prints. So beautiful! Love the accessories as always, too.

Ive never understood why everyone likes him so much. I fail to see anything outstanding here.
ALthough those wrap skirts are really nice and the jewelry is fantastic.

As always, do not feel the slightest breath. Color looks expensive, but not dazzling.

Amazing accessories! And everything is so wonderfully styled.

OK I looove Dries, he happens to be one of my two favorite designers besides Marc Jacobs, but I have to be honest with my comment on this new collection. I love the textiles, love the prints, colors the textures, they were all divine. I like the easy, fluid shapes of the garments which showcases the colorful prints of the fabric. they are all easy to wear and I think will compliment many women's figure. The most successful looks I think are when he paired a simple grey knit top with a printed wrap skirt with a train. Also when he used less layers like a dress with a jacket or a pant with a shirt. But in some of the look, especially when he was mixing print after print, I thought that it started to look cheap. It's like when you are cooking a stew and you are mixing different spices and you keep adding more then you end up getting something funky tasting. The look might work all right worn by the models on the runway. Overall I like the collection so many nice pieces and accessories.

not as good as last season:unsure:..but still pretty delicious, and I'm dying for those accessories!:woot:

I think one of the most beautiful thing about a dries collection - other than the obvious eclectic prints and fabrics - is that the feel of the whole collection as well as the clothes themselves are at once so relaxed and yet so luxurious and opulent.. the way they hang, the looseness, the silhouette.. it could almost pajamas, and yet they are in materials and prints fit for royalty ! :crush:

I love that contrast... there's nothing stiff or 'upper class' about them....they feel like clothes for real people, real woman (okay, never mind the prices..) but each one is so special and so rich that it looks like you'd be wrapped in gold and other precious materials.

just had to get that out there.....i love dries..
there were a few collections that didn't quite capture my heart but this one is back in there.. i love it.

In some pieces the mix of prints were getting into my head, but overall each pieces are very beautiful and well made, the colors are beautiful and well chose. Not one of his best... I was expecting more, but still good collection. Although, the glasses and jewelry as usual:wub:

very beautiful. the prints are gorgeous, and the styling is great too, as usual. i love the feeling of easiness i get from dries's collections:heart:

opulence is such a perfect description for Dries this season. its going to be an emotional experience. shapes not new but who needs to reinvent the wheel when it moves the heart.

The Dries that I love! The prints are divine, per usual! I adore the white hems!! The accessories are fabulous! Excellent, excellent collection!! :)
