btw is 42R the same as 42L?

^42R is shorter than 42L - R is Regular, L is Long. Also, I think this is authentic; however Chaps is a sort-of alternate line - it's not Ralph Lauren but actually a licensed brand separate from the main lines. This jacket appears to be an older piece, as current Chaps clothing no longer says Ralph Lauren on the label. It's a good-looking blazer, though. Hope this helps!
