I am sorely dissappointed! I could get these designs from like.. Mervyns or JC Penny!! This is Gucci!! What happened here?????

ok this is the end of it. Sorry if any of the previous pictures has completely offended those lovers of all things gucci...

Ok a petition should be started to sack the designer of the collection... not saying she is bad, but she is totally wrong for the position of creative director at gucci ... that is if she is still there

The two things I actually like are the shoes....and one of them is a complete knockoff of last spring's YSL, some older Marc Jacobs and like every Prada shoe since 2000.

The boots are cute (though i'd never wear them with an ankle length trouser like they're shown on the runway)

i liked the silhouette of the evening gowns but i think the overall look wasn´t luxurious enough for gucci or for what i was used to see at gucci.

It's obviously very very influencced by Rochas and LV, but I think it's nice actually. I like the strong shoulders.

thank god they are moving on from the satin/sequins/ 90's luxe.

hmm.. probably the only thing i like is the accessories. Which i guess proves she should stick with the area of expertise. I sit just me or does it look like those dresses would be hard to walk in?

I mean it's great for a fashion line/label to strat new, but the attitude of what it was should ALWAYS be there. And Facchinetti was better.

It's really not bad. All these people clamoring for Tom Ford... The Tom Ford era is over, much like the Versace era is over. It's gone. Forget it. I like that she can admit that to herself and found a way to do something new at Gucci, rather than trying to bring back or reinterpret what Tom what done. That was obviously unsuccessful and I appreciate this new approach. It's not without its flaws but at least there isn't a stitch of beige satin or feathers in this collection! Good for her to move out of Tom's shadow.

my thoughts exactly ;)

could someone please post the Rochas refferances from the Rochas collection please? because all i see matching is lengths and colour (green)

nice stuff, but it looks too much like stuff someone else did before her

I think Frida has commited a crime *gasp* she's confusing the Gucci clientelle...Nobody goes to a Gucci show to see granny chic and cute, girly mismatched, Marni MJ-esque (but not as even remotely interesting) clothes...where is the sexy, powerful, dramatic, vulgar, in your face vixen? When a new spring, summer season brings out a lot of soft, loose, nonchalant, quirky fashion, it was up to Gucci to bring some new sexy boost to the table and she's failed miserably...

with a new designer comes a new direction.... I didn't expect Gucci to change so much in such a short amount of time, however. I really loved to look at Gucci before because it was so sexy.. it was very sexy without being as crazy as Versace, and it still had a very elegant look to it. the way that Gucci is now, it just doesn't have the excitement for me anymore - the colors, the fabrics are very simple. (though, a piece or two were special)

everybody has their own opinion on what looks good and what doesn't - for myself, I miss the sexiness of Gucci

not very good. the only redeemable thing is probably the green dress and some of the evng dresses. Those slim trousers really look bad

Lena, please have a look on that floor length, black dress with twisted halters worn by Iselin Steiro... it´s basically identical to the bias-cut gowns at Rochas from F/W 2005... I agree with the other ones being less obviously Rochas than one might think, but this one definitely looks like a copycat.
