I really think Sirius was one of the best characters and it was a shame J.K had to kill him off so early on. A waste.

I didn't care much about who died except for: Hedwig, Dumbledore, and Dobby.

I think Sev deserved Lily more than James did, now... I honestly think he loved her more than James ever did. It's so sad though

As for Sirius dying... he was/is my favourite character and I was pretty depressed a few days after reading the 5th book, to be honest. I kind of hated JK a little. JUST A LITTLE!

IMHO there was nothing in the whole series that suggested that James wasn't an ***hole. So part of me thinks that Severus/Lily would have been better, but you know how girls are... always after those jerks.

If you look at the JKR Q&A linked to a few pages ago, she gives a very clear explanation of the problem between them--namely, the Dark Arts and the evil people Snape was attracted to ...

It's like shes saying this tidbits as flyaway comments but they alter things & are still important!

She said she will write the Encyclopedia, but it'll take years. So we can't obsess with a deadline, is all more annoying.
