I'm always left with the same feeling after looking at an Hermes collection. Considering that Gaultier designs it, it always come off as sub-par. That's not to say that the clothes are bad or poorly made, far from it, most of them are classic staple pieces....but where's the Gaultier in them? I understand that he's got to maintain some sense of tradition, but it really wouldn't hurt to inject some of his wit and subversive sense of chic into his collections.

Come on Jean Paul, not everything can be a pretty lacy dress or a scarf blouse. Where's the GAULTIER...I mean seriously. It's pretty but rather...meh.
