Interview September 2015 : The #Me Issue

Zayn's cover.

What a hideous cover!! Not only is the 'selfie' idea a quite redundant (didn't Kim Kardashian publish a 'book' months ago?)

Didn't that Selfie book sell really poorly too?

Will people want to buy a magazine filled with selfies, when they can look at a million selfies online for free? And when people are probably already tired of selfies? Interview isn't cheap either, and I think they double the price for their thicker issues.

This selfie idea is so unoriginal/played out that it's surprising to see Interview doing it...it's like this September issue marks a new staff and editor who are trying really hard to look hip and young: "Hey there young people, dig this epic win!" This looks like something I-D would do on a really bad month.

^ I would buy it only if it had great content, Interview usually does great eds for Sept Issue. But this sounds like a issue filled with IG folk, so i can't say it excites.

they should put kylie jenner on the cover. she epitomises this sick trend.

she's really good at photoshop as well so they won't need to use their budget (as is clearly their priority here)

Oh my goodness, Zayn's cover is HOT

I thought Fabien was above sh*t like this...great; looks like 0 September issues in the bag for me this year!

I wish they would stop these themed issues for September; the last two worked well, but quite honestly they need to go back to issues like the Kate Moss/Emma Stone traditional Sept books.

Gross. I'd expect this from a more desperate-for-teen-audience magazine, not that maybe interview isn't, but it's still tired and disappointed. Vogue Italia did The Twitpic selfie issue ages ago and didnt resort to people like kim k and boybanders. We already had quite a few selfie editorials here and there. There's no need to further glorify this self-obsession, plus it's just tired and uniniteresting.
Pass.

Is Kim's cover that blurry complete with the inset cover? My God, it's getting worse. I just cannot believe they'd publish the covers with the stacking.

Something about this feels rather obnoxious, maybe its the general idea of the selfie that's been done for the last few years now its become jaded. I also don't follow half these people on any of my social media because I'm not interested at all in their lives.

On the other hand I'm still hopeful to see whats inside the issue, Interview does deliver decent content.

Instagram Doutzen Check out my selfie in @interviewmag September issue! #InterviewGang

This issue reminds me of Vogue Italia December 2009

It's all over Instagram... I'm already tired of this issue

J.Lo killed it! Can't wait for Victoria.

Mert Alas started annoying me. These covers of his ain't working. I don't get the idea why others were selfies and theirs were FaceTime screenshots? Was the point to make Mert's face on 2 more covers? Was 1 not enough for him?

And my goodness, if I were Miley Cyrus, I'd be really infuriated. That cover made her 100x tackier and hers seemed like a random screenshot. She doesn't even look properly styled and well made up. My goodness.
