I have received my Amethyst City with GSH. The leather is very thick, such that it looks squishy, scrumptious and wrinkled on both sides of the bag. I've tried taking some photos, but my camera's not able to capture the real colour of the bag at the moment, due to lighting problems. I will try again later. The colour is very vibrant, perfect for summer!

I realise there're many variations of the colour (different leather batches?) among the authentics. Hence, I'm attaching a photo from TPF which best represents the colour of my Amethyst City with GSH from T&D. The colour and texture of my bag's similar to the 08 Amethyst SGH Midday in the photo.

Edited to add: I am very, very happy with the leather quality of this bag. It is the thickest among all my T&D bags, even thicker than the much raved Vert D'eau batch. The GSH provides a very cool contrast against the vibrant colour of the bag. Now I'm tempted to get the Argent bag too!

maybe try baby wipes for the ink? i would try on a small spot and see if it works because i hear if you use harsh chemicals the color might come off too..

Hmm.. my Black City's strap is not long enough to wear cross-body!! I am pretty tiny too 5'3" and skinny haha maybe I got a shorter strap? Anyhow I changed my order to an Argent Part Time after seeing antelopes pics

xooey - glad you love your bag. the leather sounds fabulous! i SO wish the boys would do the mid-day. that is a really great style.

a984mel - i think i'm getting a roses stole too. it will make a great sarong at the beach. i've seen the auth and while someone mentioned jacky's roses aren't places correctly, they must have a more keen eye than i because it seems they match up perfectly. i'm willing to risk it for $35. the pink is so gorgeous.

i've asked jacky to do the wang coco duffel. is anyone interested in that bag? it's finally arriving in stores and they're already selling out. the leather is TDF. very thick and bubbly, but the style probably isn't for everyone. just thought i'd share in case anyone is interested. oh, i also sent him specific pics of the PS1 clutch and one pic of the PS1 bag. i hope he does one in python!

Anthracite bags are completed. Everything is shipping out right now so I'm sure it's a lil crazy for them. I'm not going to ask for a tracking number until Fri/Sat.

Does happy dance - I can't wait for my anthracite and it will be my first Work...trying not to bother the guys re: tracking no. I knew the bag would arrive eventually!

Thanks for the article! I have been wanting one for a while now but I didn't know that they are so saturated already in NY. I still want one though. both Catty and Kerry carry Goyard bags but I have no idea how good they are..

pinkdolphin: I KWYM!! There is NO way I could wear the City cross body!! Haha!! I'd look ridiculous. I'm tall and uhhh...endowed..so yeah, not gonna happen. I don't do cross body bags, period. But the City would only work cross body on shorter gals.

I truly understand, and would not want to take the chance. For me, I would go the professional route. I'm paranoid about ruining something so beautiful

Hi dangermouse. When I bought my leather sofa, I got a cleaning kit with it. Inside the kit was something in the shape of a giant glue stick. It says "Soil Shield" "Ink Lifter" - Ink & lipstick remover for all finished leathers -is printed on the front of it. I've used it successfully to remove marks from my couch. It's sort of sticky/gooey. I dab it on the leather and wipe it clean. This bitty 2 oz. thing is many years old...but it still works.
