^you girls take your fakes into the stores? No matter how accurate they are, I get the feeling they can tell and will be offended or something.:p

^^the good ones- absolutely! Unless there are glaring flaws, most sales associates are pretty clueless. I've had associates at barney's hold and fawn over my NBF bags. I personally don't care if they can tell or are offended. 99% of the time, they can't tell and they can't kick you out of a store for having a rep bag!

^haha. ur right. I guess the ones I have in mind are those awful looking fake bags..

I've carried my auth cabas piano into the lv store and asked to look at some wallets and the way the SA looked at me I felt like I was carrying a fake. Honestly, as much as I look at purses, I wouldn't dare walk in with something hideous. but otherwise...it really doesn't matter, bc the purse addicts like us usually know more than the SA's do...

I think SA's can be snobby beasts even if you walk in with nothing but an American Express Black card with you!! They can be downright rude. I think they feel it exudes wealth to be boring and snobbish. I've had fantastic service at LV, and rotten as well. Depends on the SA I suppose. I wouldn't walk in LV with an LV rep, but that's just me.

^I think we can all relate to that. They really have no reason be snobby.

So true, considering that most of them can't even afford to purchase the merchandise they're selling... For some reason I get this alot, I'm not sure if its because I'm biracial but I must admit I think that has something to do with it. I remember one incident in Saks at the LV counter. I wanted to look at the Alma bag and I was being totally ignored. When my mom came over to the counter I guess they didn't realize we were together. They were falling all over themselves asking if they could show her anything. I casually walked over and said mom I don't think I want the bag after all. You should have seen those two b@#$*h's (one male and one female) mouths hit the floor. Of course, my mother was completely clueless as to why I was passing up an opportunity to get the bag. I never told her because I'm sure she would have hit the roof - but I got my satisfaction at seeing those two idiots behind the counter stand there like deer caught in headlights. :D
Now that I'm accustomed to this reaction from them, initially, I will treat them with respect, but if/when they decide to put on airs, well then I not so subtly remind them who is there to serve who...:innocent:

The Las Vegas $10 an hour clerks are the worst. I encountered a snotty LV SA in Portland and went across the street to SAKS and bought my Batignolles. I was tempted to go back to LV and show them what they missed out on but didn't.

So sad when "race" enters into the type of service provided, onlythebest! Glad you had the satisfaction of seeing the SA's faces.

Yep, I carried jacky's gris mahina into TWO lv's... I'm so proud of myself. My heart was racing the whole time. and I got complimented on my gris by a lady that was carrying an auth black one. And one of the times in the LV store the sa complimented my bag saying how lucky I was to have gotten that color :p
It's not 'absolutely perfect" but it's pretty darn close. The only problem with a mahina is that it is a wee bit heavy, but otherwise if it's your style, go for it. and I got my SIL jacky's black one that she loves loves. I think the black one you would get away with even better, but that's usually the case for all reps. :innocent: black is always better.

Ohh thanks for the advice babybluestar, littlecoco and eeboston! now i'm wanting the black mahina instead :D

the reason i want one as close to the auth as possible is cos people in my country is very much brand minded, and with many ppl, the first thing they look at you is your bag.. so jacky's black is even closer to the auth than the gris? well i shld be getting the black then, even though I prefer the gris, esp after looking at your photos..

and its true that those ppl who have the authentic usually are the ones who do not notice the details.. i have more than 5 auth bbags and only AFTER i got my NBF i started noticing :D but the differences are so minor its so hard to tell even when comparing side by side :woot: im totally in love with my sapphire :heart:

btw my friend who works as an SA at LV told me that they like to radio each other when they see a person carrying a fake coming in.. and they laugh and make jokes behind that person's back.. but i assume it must be those hideous fakes

I think so too, because from a distance it has to be a "clear" fake, not one that comes close

well, I have never been to an LV store, because there are only 2 in my country, one of them has the reputation though of being most unfriendly

a girl once blogged her total experience from that store and afterwards the LV house called her to apologize (because they had noticed her blog)

but nevertheless, I think it shouldn't matter what you carry when you enter a store, even if it's a fake or not, you are still a customer that might buy something and therefore you need to be treated with respect

onlythebest4me: I can totally relate to your story, as I would do the same :) I wouldnt' want those snobby people to have the satisfaction of me buyng something there!

on another note: still looking for a wilshire "perfect" bag, nobody had comments on the pics I posted few pages back?

I was also looking at joy's site but she doesn't have them, although I remember seeing them on ioffer from her, but can't find them :(

Hi everyone, I only had Jacky's old site and it's not working now :(
Anybody could be so kind and PM me the new Jacky's website? Thanks a million! :)

if you're interested in one of the bags ask her why the price is so high, maybe she has a good reason because she really is nice

Any advice appreciated. Going to treat myself to one of the new T&D bags. Just one. So I have to choose a colour and style but I am finding it so hard!

Immediate instinct is to go for the Apple Green City - it is so bright and cheerful and it will totally dress up a neutral outfit. However....

I used to jones over the seafoam twiggy and first back when that colour came out and it was just so covetable. The vert d'eau is so close and it would be a bit more neutral, won't take over an outfit and also will be so pretty in summer...

On a practical note, the turquoise would work so much better. It is the one that least jumps into my mind, but I have so much that it would go with. I have a load of blue earrings and accessories, scarves, coats etc cause blue is supposed to really suit me. I have the French Blue Day with the GGH (NBF) which is quite stand-out, but the turquoise city in the RH would really go with some stuff I have.

I don't really have anything in green in my wardrobe so the apple green would stand out on its own...

decisions, decisions...advice appreciated :)

Oh, together with magenta those are probably my favourite colors! :D
I don't own anything from T&D YET but I've always wanted something in VD. I would either go for VD or Turqoise ;) Apple green is lovely. But I would feel a bit weird somehow carrying a bag in that color..
These colors stand out only if you wear more neutral colors. Than the color would really pop. You shouldn't match anything with the color of your bags.. Personally I don't like colors that match (too well).

fashiongirl87 , I agree! That Marc Jacobs Big Heart bag is VERY Luella-esque. I think that's why I'm so attracted to the design. LOL and I, too, thought that it was some kind of limited-edition Marc Jacobs Valentines bag! ^_^
