And I've heard from others that the authentic is more structured. I'm sure anyone that knows Chanel would be able to tell it's a replica, but where I live, everyone's clueless about designer bags, so I have nothing to worry about.
But she did say the higher priced is better quality than her regular h-bags...who knows though. The close up pics do look good though to me.
She said that birkin that is listed for $550 is much better leather, etc..something like that, so I guess if you wanted to go that route, but I don't think anyone's bought it yet lol.
Thanks kimair! But to be honest, the leather feels quite plasticky... I'm even beginning to wonder if it is leather at all.
My other 2 Chanels that I got at the same time are soft good quality leather. Maybe its just the finish on the cerf that makes it feel un-leather-like. It also makes squeaky sounds when it's moved around that reminds me of vinyl bags that I've had in the past. But it's still a very nice looking bag... I just won't be taking it on any trips where I might run into someone that knows the difference between authentic and replica.
Ambreit... I tried heating it up with a hairdryer like someone else had suggested to me to test the leather, and it warmed up and stayed warm for a minute or two, but didn't get hot. I'll try the lighter method tomorrow and let you know what happens. Thanks.
and another question in general: does catty send storage boxes (like the one with the wallet fro couture) along with her accesoires? (like scarf, wallet etc), so far I've only bought bags and jewelry so no clue but I like it to store it in if I don't use it
