As for other reps, listen, we're not carrying plastic Canal St. fakes here. Unless perhaps you work for LV, Chanel whatever, I highly doubt ANYONE would know the teeny-tiny tells that your bag is not auth. We've compiled these sellers (Catty/Jacky/Joy/T&D/etc.) because they are the best we can find. If there are better out there, we don't know about it. If you don't think the rep sellers can't master the bag you're looking for then move on, and get a rep in a different brand/style. Like Hermes. If there is NO PERFECT REP BIRKIN, then get something else like an Evelyn/Lindy whatever, where the stitching, stamping and the like is not as important.
Can people REALLY tell your bag is fake? Depends. Have they only ever seen those plastic-looking Chanel Cambon bucket bags? Gawd, I cringe every time I see one of those, I can't believe they're still around. But whatever, somebody liked that bag, they don't care it's fake and who am I to laugh at them for having a bad fake. They think it looks real, and good for them. A fake is still a fake, whether its her ugly Cambon or my 99.9% perfect Speedy. We're both carrying them and really, I'm certainly no better than she is - I just happen to know where to get the best fake. I can tell a really bad fake too, but a good one? On someone that looks like they should own one? Maybe not. Saw a well-dressed woman at the Four Seasons carrying a Goyard St. Louis PM. Was it real? I dunno. I've never even seen one before, and don't even know where I would purchase one in my area, but I know the brand and what it should look like. I was pretty well turned-out that day at at the Four Seasons as well. My bag was a rep.
I guess what I'm trying to say is.... when it comes to minute details on bags like the hardware not quite the right shade of gold, if your friends are so anally-retentive they can't sit down for fear of sucking up the furniture.....
Time to get new friends.

This was a year ago! Hehe, I was carrying my magenta GGH and I was wandering around the handbag and accessories floor. I had split apart from my friends and I was looking at some accessories. And there were a few other customers browsing as well. And three sales people, a man and two women came up to me and were SUPER duper friendly and kept asking me if I needed any help. And no one offered assistance to the other customers who were literally right beside me lol. And then I said no.. I'm fine I'm just looking... And then two minutes later all three of them came up to me again and said, "we have a full length mirror here, so don't be hesitant to try anything on! Just let us know!" Meanwhile NOT serving the other customers haha! I was kinda creeped out by all the attention and snuck off to find my friends

i was at an obnoxious organic cafe in LA one day, and this woman walked in wearing chanel sunglasses i've never seen. thanks to her seemingly expensive sweater, perfect fitting dark rinse jeans and miu miu flats, i automatically assummed the glasses were real. then i thought to myself well, i'm sitting here in a marni dress wearing lanvin flats and my bag is NOT REAL.

You need to get yourself a spreadsheet, girl! Have you seen mine? Kinda sad, actually - to know how much time I have on my hands. You can compare different sellers. Sometimes one seller has an imperfection on the inside of the bag and the outside is perfect. I think often, as long as the leather isn't stiff and ooky, most people won't know. Much like thesiren posted above, no one knows every single piece that is/was in a collection, so nobody can tell if your bag is from this season or four years' ago.
Just remember, like everyone else says, if you can rock the bag, no one will know. So don't be afraid, just purchase one bag, see how you like it. Getting one item from Jacky and paying the extra $30 fee isn't a huge investment. You'll know how close it is when you get it and if you don't feel comfortable carrying it, then try a rep of a different type.
I've got a prioritized list too, and there isn't a Bal on there to be found!

I would hope it's pretty obvious to everyone that NO ONE here is "calling out" anyone. It's all in fun, right? I mean we're all after the same thing. The best reps and "veiny bals" Okay, maybe it's just me then.
Some of us do crazy crap to our bags. The great thing is, if you wreck your bag trying to get the patina perfected or the colour just right, you can just get another one. My speedy got a bit wrecked when my water bottle leaked inside, but hey, it was $67, I'm just gonna order another one.
I saw this show "Party Mamas" today and the woman was carrying a RED GGH Work? Her face didn't move. I was frightened. Her Bal was pretty nice though - it was really RED if you KWIM? I wouldn't say no to a red bag, but I kinda like the more muted reds.
Whomever here has a bordeaux twiggy? Don't even think about asking for a friend request! (I'm actually extremely jealous, just don't tell anyone, mmkay?)
Oh, and the Chanel Jumbo Gumbo Flappy Whappy Bag? The structure is totally off on that one, no one does a good rep of it. It's just, just... saggy. And NO ONE looks good with sag! Even I don't like saggy bals.

Great post shellybean. I think T&D bags are usually 99% perfect and I'm totally confident taking my bag into upscale stores as well.

My friend who only has auth bbags(she`s the type to look down on people who wear reps) told me that she was nervous about buying them on ebay so I grabbed my T&D bag and her auth bag and showed her what to look for in a fake bbag and compared the two and she couldnt tell the difference.

Someone asked on their ioffer page for a photo of the sandstone wallet and they said that they aren't made yet. It looks like the wallets are pre-order right now. I stopped pre-ordering from them after waiting almost 6 months for my black city. Looks like I will be waiting for them to have the wallets in hand. I'll take my chances.

NatashaR - I own an authentic Bal '07 Vermillion Hobo - Balenciaga leather is amazing & the colors so vibrant. When empy, it will virtually collapse on itself - the slouchiness & lack of obvious structure is so modern! I ordered my 1st T&D bag this week - eager to see how they compare....thanks to the TFS forums , its helpful members, and their pics, I felt comfortable ordering the Blue Layette Day Bag ....seriously considering ordering the Magenta Weekender....

I think the only colour I would be willing to prepay for would be another run of Vert D'eau. SIX months is nuts! I've been married AND divorced in less time than that! (just kiddin'). I mean a Black City? C'mon, that should be a staple for them. That bag along with a Brown of some type and maybe whatever bright colour du jour should be in stock and available to ship 365 days/year. I hope there isn't a huge wait and subsequent QC table/shipping clusterpuck for those hoping to get one. They're not for me personally, but I feel for everyone here that has to wait for their bags/wallets.

NatashaR, first of all, welcome, I hope you will like it here! About NBF's Bbags, I am an avid fan of Bbags, I have an authentic one and after buying my 1st TnD, I decided never to splurge out for an authentic again. Simply because the leather is also amazing and the other details are 90% correct. But please note, the leather does vary as in real Bbags and you can't pick the kind of leather you like as you would in a Bal store, but you can generally get an idea of the quality based on the reviews of other members here. Some minor details are off and I honestly think only a Balenciaga expert could tell it wasn't authentic and 95% of the population could never guess. So, the minor differences between an authentic and an NBF are not reason enough to pay for the same bag 7 times more, IMO.

I would say it's a perfect rep and personally would not get authentic Balenciagas again. I would rather get other authentic bags when I can get Balenciaga look and quality for a fraction of the price. Of course it is possible to get a faulty bag, but I think you could talk with the guys and get a refund in that case.

About the wallets, I looooooove them and will get both the smaller one for my sister and the larger one for myself! I love wallets!
