but i want tht one ! :judge:
thankyou sweetie
i will let you know when i'm ready to place an order ! ;)

thank you all! you're all so sweet.

the final scarf is 24.5in/63cm long and 9in/22cm wide...it's not tight around my neck, and i just buttoned it and let it fall where it wanted to fall...i helped along at some points but i think it's going to end up doing either that, or whatever the wearer wants it to do. i'm really pleasantly surprised by how it came out and i'm excited by it!

Thanks for the measurements .f I think I'll try myself. I need to perfect the ol' knitting technique so it doesn't look like randomised crochet :innocent:

of course you can! i wish you all lived here because then we could have stitch'n'b*tches

Hahaha  I had a dream about a beautiful cable knit scarf the other night, so I've been wanting to go to a knitting class for the whole of two days so I can learn some more complicated 'moves' ;)

I have an old book that I got from a charity shop just recently and it has a few techniques in there I just think I'm a bit too lazy to read and knit, I usually find it easier when someone shows me.

Has anyone here learnt from a book?

chanel you might have been kidding but i'd LOVE to start a knitting society! we should really talk about it.

a friend of mine taught me a long, long time ago..she is left-handed and i'm right, but i learnt left-handed without realising it for a long time, so trying to learn stitches from books never worked for me  i've learnt a few things from books, but mostly just different ways to do a stitch (for example, knit 2 purl 3..things like that..nothing complicated). it's not impossible, but i'm like chanel..i need visual aides.

get started and post your creations! elegance posted a beautiful button neck scarf a long time ago that i've often dreamt about...it was so lovely!

thanks...I'll try with the book and get back to this thread.

Perhaps we could start tfs businesses...knitting and sewing clubs, and then auctions of the stuff online  oh the genius. God I'd love a knitting club close by...or maybe if everyone sets up webcams and pours themself a cup of tea it might be just as good? ;)

How exciting! A knitting thread!
