Luminous, Glowy and Healthy Skin

You know... I must say... when I think of fresh looking skin, the women in Sex and the City ALWAYS come to mind... their skin always looked so fresh in those episodes...

I get those little white lumps on my forhead, they look awful!! My skin is perfectly clear otherwise, I exfoliate and tone etc etc but nothing works! Any ideas?

Could be from your hair-product.

i've got a few bangs - when i use anything but *** i get those little lumps/bumps, while the skin on the rest of my face is perfectly zit-free.

i've gotten bumps from: LaCoupe/Life/Garnier/Got2Be and others.

If you're using drugstore hairproduct, try upgrading to something like Paul Mitchell or *** or Bumble & Bumble.. etc.

If you're already using the goodstuff.. then... i'm stumped.
^_^

Don't know where you are in England, but I'm sure that there is a Dr.Hauscka UK website where you can order, as well as the Dr. Hauscka range being sold in Harvey Nichols in London.
I don't know about Almay products in the UK though.

golden_butterfly.. so does mine. the past couple of nights i've been using the apple cider vinegar... 1 part acv and 2 parts water (i realize this is better than one half acv and 1 half water)... i've used it in the past, as well, but never for over a few days. surprisingly, its the complete opposite of irritating.. at least for my skin! the improvements are noticeably different.. my skin's irritation patches of slight redness are definately decreasing, my skin is totally totally glowing, and it seems to be very very healthy. im not sure if acv works as a toner everynight, but it certainly works as a pick me up every once in a while. im going to continue to use it every night now, since it really has been the best toner i've ever used:) other than that, you really should find a face lotion that works to help w/ that, cause their supposed to soothe your skin- if your moisturizer can't do that, perhaps you aren't using the apt type for your skin! hate to say it again, but natural products really are soothing.. especially for sensitive skin types, which can easily get off balance;)

hye park lover you don't have EITHER in the UK??? drugstore.com sells the Almay Milk Plus, and both Sephora.com and drhauschka.com sell the products.. if you're up for ordering? i suppose you'd like to get a sample first? you sure you dont have drugstores and dr. hauscka stores? haha.. makeupalley.com and healthboards.com have some really great product reviews, too.

Lol, yes I'm so deprived:lol: But thanks anyway.....you don't happen to know any good ones made by major make-up brands, like Dior etc. they're the only upper-range stuff I can get

Ahhh darn it, I'm in sheffield ........ which is nowhere even roughly close to London:cry:  Meh, I guess I'll have to settle for online ordering (with a delivery fee so chunky that I could buy another bottle with that money:innocent: ) ..... ahh well..... Dammit I have to move to somewhere less fashion-siberia-y!

Do u pat the acv on ur face and rinse it off with water ?
And...about natural products, do u have any recommendations on a ' soothing ' moisturizer ? :flower:

I've got the same prob, so annoying isn't it ?

goldenbutterfly.. i dilute it, then take a square cotton swab and pat it all over my face.. i dont wash it off, cause i think it works like a toner; you let it absorb and work its magic;) i swear it doesn't even dry my skin! i wake up w/ really soft skin.

I forgot to mention that salt is really bad for acne sufferers. More specifically- iodine.. just make sure to keep the sodium and iodine low in your diet- and never choose a multivitamin which has iodine in it!

I have a couple questions about nutrition and skin

I know fish esp salmon (dr perricone) is supposed to be great for glowing skin...problem is, I CANNOT eat fish:sick: are there other foods which have the same benefits as salmon?

Flax seed oil has been recommended, but isn't that used to help people gain weight as well??

Hye Park lover do you have a John Lewis near you or a Peter Jones/Robert Sayle? The Oxford Street John Lewis has Haushka so yours might too. You could always ask

Shoegirl try hemp seed oil pills (also great for improving skin elasticity and preventing stretch marks apparently) or basic cod liver oil.

 What's "a moss"? Must be a britishism. i promise i won't do it just as soon as i find out what it is (though more likely i've done it for years..)

No no don't say it.....John....Lewis?!:o *Is paralised by fear of John Lewis* ... The one near me is just way too big and maze-like. The lighting's all dodgy so once you enter, you can be sure that it will be another good half an hour to an hour before you can re-emerge again ..... The last time I went in, I can honestly say I'd never been so happy to leave a shop before:lol:

but yeh, I'll go and check it out...
