Marc Jacobs F/W 10.11 New York

This is WAY better than last season! The silhouette is a little frumpy/dowdy but overall i like this collection alot more than S/S 2010.

It's more subtle and classic and doesn't look like he is trying too hard!

The overall presentation was outstanding. Loved the girls in the box and then walking out.
Bag are gorgeous and the coats/furs look incredible. I'm quite impressed, usually I dislike Marc's collections.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this collection. I didn't bother watching the thread expecting nothing interesting and MJ proved me wrong.

This collection is so mature, coherent. MJ went back to his roots: folk, grungy looks but without the usual bling and pretension.

OK after many seasons of "WTF he is doing now" i finally feel that THIS IS MARC. i mean - i don't have anything against changes and development but i think designer should go to far, they should alway shave something that could be their trade marks - like chanel under lagerfeld, each year it's almost the same yet, usually, quite fresh and enjoyable.

Love how coherent this collection is, how marc-ky marc it is and the fabrics he used ( well , little to much fur for me but still ok ). Also i want almost every bag from collection. In general it's one of better shows for him in many years. You can say it's very vintage marc, very " we seen it all", but i really anjoy this one.

It was a nice collection, but it was maybe too grandma-ish for my tastes, but this is definitely better than his previous summer collection
Love the final glittering gowns and all the fur coats and bags, not so crazy about the teacher knitwear and the shoes...which were just revolting

Those bags are amazing. The collection kinda reminds of Herrera in a way.:ermm: Not fantastic but an improvement from his Spring collection.:doh:

I LOVED it SO much! I thought it was incredible. I love the austerity, the frumpy-cool silhouettes, the thirties depression influence, the slouchy/comfortable-ness, and the clear PVC touches.

It didn't feel like a fashion show really, it seemed like each of the girls belonged in the clothes and picked them themselves... like they were all characters in a play. I loved the casting because it sort of mirrored that effect, with the lesser knowns and the street-casted girls, they seemed like people instead of models.

I felt some subtle Grey Gardens influence as well... like they were from formerly affluent families that had fallen into hard times; hence the pairing of long elegant skirts with chunky cable knit sweaters and the grandma-ish glasses worn with fur coats and some kooky disco elements... AHH i just loved it. :crush:

oh am gee! I wish someday upon a star I was a beautiful woman so I can wear that beautiful embroidered/beaded, floral printed dress Lovanni modeled in the show. If I can't become a woman then I will force myself to become a straight man and marry a beautiful woman so I can have her wear that beautiful dress and somewhere over the rainbow we will make a beautiful daughter who will receive the dress as an heirloom and all my dreams will come true.
