It's such a huge relief to see this Marc going into a clean and sophisticated direction this season after such a messy collection from S/S 2010.

And I've always had such a weak spot for camel...

This makes me believe that Sofia Coppola is still very much his muse... and not Victoria Beckham.

I'm so glad he moved on from doing ridiculous show pieces that would appeal to the likes of Gaga and Madonna. Marc has always been about a more subdued glamour, something more akin to librarian chic rather than whatever you want to call his last few shows.

I'm glad he is revisiting his roots and making great daywear again. The cut and tailoring of these pieces is phenomenal.

So far havent seen anything cool yet. Seems less fashion-forward than his past winter collections. Too bad!

Looks like an American version of Prada. I'll probably be the only one, but it doesn't do anything for me. To be honest, I really don't like it.

And I consider myself to be a hardcore Marc Jacobs-fan.

Egh!

the setting is VERY Constanza Macras (choreographer/theater director) meets A.McQueen spring 2001, but i like it.

and im glad he's back to doing elegant and sober clothes cause lately he delivered a lot of hot messes.

Honestly speaking I really like this so far. I usually like pieces of the Marc Jacobs collection and am never really satisfied with the styling, but this seems different. Polished, relaxed, and well put together. I;m really excited to see images of the whole thing!

but omg those are some ugly 90s looking boots. square toes and chunky heel, dnw ever again*_*

I agree with you there, if you look at most of the footwear, asseccories, and some of the pieces worn throughout the collection, you would definetely get a very good Prada vibe. But only in a sense that it's not Marc being super crazy or "out there" like he usually is in his previous collections.

that first look on Lindsay, with the long coat & skirt.....stunning. the fit and lines are incredible to me. it set the mood for the whole thing, i am in love. i think this is the first MJ collection (as i've only gotten into fashion in the past few years) i can say i really adore, and covet.

i really like this , that outfit freja is wearing , the man knows how to cut the perfect pant.

I'm so glad I saw the video live. :D It was a very good collection, one of my favorites of his, and the best of NY, as of yet, by far.

thanks
