Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

I remember reading that article on Natalia, and laughing because the E.E really did wipe them all out. The article also mentioned that Marija V. is a very serious person and what she wants she gets. having worked around brazilian and E.E models i can see the difference. E.E are more reserved and a lot of times i think it is because of their language barriers, but equally pleasant and cute when you get to know them. They hover in groups because they are familiar, and know that they won't have an issue communicating with one Brazilians are just happy to be in the environment and experiencing the opportunity ^_^ which is so charming.

I think it's a language/homesickness thing. In such an exhausting business like this you're probably more than happy to get to talk to someone from your very own country, in your very own language once in a while.

It also reminds me of sports: no matter how much you dislike it, you somehow always root for your own country.

well, being from Soviet Union myself, I can see why Brazilians view Eastern European/Russian models that way.
just recently I traveled to Moscow and sadly, very little have changed in attitudes of people there. It also might be that I've grown to be way too accustomed to smiley Americans but after being there for two weeks I couldn't wait to go back -_-
Yes, they are cold and their bluntness can be mistaken for rudeness. And sometimes they are just plain rude.
Even though Im more close to Russia, I'm team Brazil aaall the way

Lais Ribeiro about the relationship betwen brazilian models and russian models:

"And they are always [...] fawning important people backstage... "

g1.com

Lais forgot to mention, with the exception of Izabel Goulart who would be on team Russia if using that description... :innocent:

Marija V is too serious from my experiences with her too. She doesn't smile very often and is only friendly when she has to be or will get paid. Sad. Beauty and money are not everything honey.

It is true that the Brazilians are usually more friendly and chatty with strangers. It's their culture. Russians and Eastern Europeans usually enter the international catwalk at a younger age, where language may still pose as a huge barrier. There are always exceptions. Some Russians are really sweet and friendly. And I have a list of Brazilians who are not that approachable in real life when they are not being paid to be. :innocent: There are good and bad apples from all parts of the world.

Congratulations are in order for Mode Model's Cole Tusznio who is now engaged to Traffic's David Perez.

Well, all I know is that EE models are generally deemed to be very professional.

Would you mind sharing the names of the ones that are not approachable apart from izabel. My guess is ale and you can help with the rest.

True! I don't believe the stories that all brazillian are all charming and open to everyone , i find that very black & white.Thats just fashion putting a label on a group or people.Every group has it bad seeds .

I don't really get the idea that models have to be approachable and chipper all the time. They are humans, they have any right to be grumpy now and then and to choose whom they want to be friendly with and when they are simple not in the mood to socialize. Unless they're at a casting and have to charm people, that is.

In europe russian women are known to be the most beautiful in the world!!!
that's why i like em more.

^ always is an overstatement. the most famous miss universe was easily aishwarya rai and she's indian.

^She was Miss World. Same thing. Russians and Brazilians represent different kinds of beauty types. Both are equally unattainable for the most part.

^Well, it depends on the criteria from each country. "Miss France" can't be Miss France if she had plastic surgery. That's why we never win :p

Wtf why would plastic surgery make them more likely to win? Plastic surgery makes people so ugly imo...

^ yeah, i agree, but a lot of people don't, including a large population of south and latin americans. everyone's heard about the 13 year olds getting their t*ts done in Rio.
