Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

Is there any gossip about the new-ish girls like Sigrid, Jac, the Jablonskis etc.? They can't be that boring, can they?

I recently heard from a friend of a friend she once met Jac in her mother agency and didn't have the best impression. Apparently she was a bit diva-ish and rude.

I've read some rumours of that kind about Frida too, so who knows, maybe Frigaciak isn't that sweet after all.

Yeah I've heard bad things about Frida, not too much about Jac. I've just heard Jac is shy-ish and it comes off as rude to some people, but who knows. Constance seems so sweet. I've obviously never met her but I saw a video of her for a French television show or something and it made me like her so much more. All I know about Jacquelyn is that she is rumored to be dating that Kings of Leon guy.

Another reason to dislike Chanel Iman I guess. Honestly, so many models are much richer, and more successful than her and don't feel the need to be a total b*tch.

Eniko i f' love you!! you should've push her harder!!!!
make me sad that we dont really see sessile anywhere now days. while chanel

I find natural modesty to be adorable, I know what you mean though :p but I never thought of Jac as having that Sigrid-ish personality, maybe because she's such good friends with Frida

about models acting diva-ish, you are going to get girls who obviously have let the industry's worshipping get to them. I wouldnt say Jac is a diva, but Frida's niceness seems like a job. when i met her she was really cute and nice, but i think it's only when cameras are around:ninja: a model who reeks of sincerity is Raquel Zimmerman, she is just such an amazing person to be around, as well as Stella Tennant. the only gossip about Sigird that i have no longer has a thread in here :innocent:

That would be so disappointing to meet your favorite model and he/she was a b*tch to you, lol. I would definitely not feel the same way about him/her.

yeah and that's what turned me off about her. i was a fan of her work, but during fashion week and when i worked at Topshop and she came in i was completely turned off b her attitude. im so happy Maryna isn't like that

Sigrid seems quite shy and soft-spoken in her interviews... I can't imagine her being anything but a total sweetheart. ^_^

Do you guys know anything about Joan Smalls? I have seen pics of her talking backstage with Karmen, Frida, Jacquelyn, & Sigrid. She seems friendly to me. Any dirt?

^some people in this thread say she's a diva

there is one model who ive heard has given her agents a really hard time, and is very bossy. they are glad that she is no longer with them

Is it one of the many models who recently made the move to Ford?

I didn't hear anything but my impression has been slighlty the same.
This whole Frigaciak thing is difficult for me because I love Jac but can't really stand Frida ... it's a weird contradiction
Frida comes off as nice in interveiws and though her cocky attitude is all around, I can't help it.
Honestly I have to say I sometimes have felt the same about Jac too but it's hard to tell because it was only the way she looked not the way she acted (if somebody understand this).

I think it also depends in which moments you catch up with the models.
Frankly I wouldn't be in the best and nicest mood either if it's fashion week time, I'm exhausted and stressed anyway and just want to be alone and on my own.

From Miranda's Kerr's thread:

MIRANDA KERR knows only too well her face is her fortune, as photographers discovered this week at the David Jones fashion show.
The glamazon began barking commands to ''only shoot me with direct flash'', in order to thwart any nasty shadows being cast on her showcase face.
The news photographers, some of whom have covered war zones and world leaders, politely listened to the generous advice from the young model, though she did earn the nickname ''Flash Nazi'' afterwards.

Wednesday night's DJs extravaganza certainly set the scene for a promising night on the gossip radar, with an open champagne bar, towering glamazons and a gathering of this town's social fauna in all their finery. Sadly there was no sign of Mr Kerr (Orlando Bloom) on the night.
Backstage, Kerr had her own marquee erected so she could be preened away from the prying eyes of her fellow models, some of whom were put out when security guards commenced on-the-spot bag checks, with Tiah Eckhardt tweeting about the gaffa tape which had damaged her Yves Saint Laurent handbag.
No bag searches were being carried out inside Kerr's tent, which was resplendent with her own ''green room'' to receive her guests, which had been decked out in fresh flowers, comfy sofas and a well-stocked bar.
Only a handful of people were allowed in, including make-up artist Napoleon Perdis and hairdresser Renya Xydis. Inside, Kerr was busy pumping breast milk for her adorable seven-month-old son Flynn before hitting the catwalk. Yesterday, Flynn hit the PR circuit with Kerr, the model brandishing the baby like a designer handbag, much to the paparazzi's delight, especially when they spotted his T-shirt emblazoned Kerr Bloom (was there any doubt?).

^That could be easily presented in a positive light to her. Not sure about the 'no flash only' demands, but the bit about having her own area and not letting people in is probably because she was pumping breast milk. I don't think many women themselves or those around them would feel comfortable just pumping away while all kinds of people are walking around.

^I agree, the dressing area is not all that diva-ish, I guess it depends on how it compares to previous people who were in the same position, and I would even say that it is OK if Miranda received a few extra perks because she is a new mother and a celebrity, but the flash bulb thing is a bit much. I am not walking away thinking that she is a full-on diva because it seems like the writer is trying too hard to paint that picture, but I don't think that Miranda is casual about her image, and in fairness to her that is not a bad thing. To me the article raises the question more than it offers incontrovertible proof.

they are just trying to make her look bad. the reality is that entire show revolved around miranda so i would be surprised if she wasnt treated special.

what i don't understand is if this is your job, and you are a mother t a newborn
why bring. they do have breast pumps if she wanted to still give her baby milk. this was a fashion show she wasn't hosting the VMA's it shouldn't have been that serious. her first picture of he baby was her beast feeding so i don't think it is that private anymore...

^ She actually was pumping breast milk. Miranda is the fashion ambassador for DJ's and the show was indeed all about her (she was headlining almost every major news outlet in Australia). Did we really expect her to fall in line with the small and local models in the show? I don't think so. It's just the way it is. Although I have to say, this Diva Miranda is rather refreshing opposed to the constant 'Miranda perfect this, Miranda perfect that' that the Aussie media just loves to bring forth. :ninja:
