Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

$400K? Are they any insiders here who can confirm that this paycheck is realistic?:shock:

400k AUD, 288k USD. I saw the same figure reported somewhere else. Absolutely ridiculous, surely that money could have been better used on a real model.

or on about 100 real models, for that matter.

You guys Do realize that that figure quoted is inclusive of her fronting the ad campaign as well, right?

Cara is in serious need of psychological help. Really, I can't stand her and I always found her an "average to bad" model but I'm now starting to think the girl needs help.

No one, I say NO ONE, would refuse a random check in Paris. She just made things harder for her as the French authorities (used to work with famous people) have zero patience for entitled behaviors. Now add the current political/social situation in France and you get a real problem right there. Her lawyers must be great because a common citizen would stay in prison for this.

She is either stupid or sick. She needs help ASAP.

^I doubt a common citizen would get in prison for refusing a random bag check. It's probably not Cara's 1st time taking the Eurostar so why is she even complaining in the 1st place? If you have nothing to hide, just deal with it like a normal person : let it be and then complain to your friends

Everytime I go to work, leave the building and re-enter it, I have to open my bag now. It's just how it is, annoying, unnecessary but it's the reality of the situation

They can arrest people for less than that, especially muslims... The crisis state gives them the right to do so. They can enter your house and go through it without any explanation. A women refusing a check is suspect, no wonder why they didn't let her go.
It's annoying but we have to deal with it. I have to show my student card and open my bag every time I enter my uni (and I do it two or three times a day almost every day), in commercial centers it's the same and no one is making a big deal out of it. I even do it with a smile, policemen are not pleased with that and I'm sure they'd rather do something else so why make their job more difficult? Who is protecting her when she's chased by paparazzi when she leaves a fashion show in France? Security and police. She's not facing this on a daily basis, like us, so I don't get why she's annoyed.

Oh, come on, catching the train you want is so much more important than national security etc.. Duh. Is it only Cara and myself that sees that? (dripping of sarcasm if you couldn't tell...)

And even before the current situation in France, the Eurostar was a super sensitive object, they scan all luggage like at the airport. And I'm sure Cara has taken that train like a million times before. I guess she's not ok...

You would probably get a fine if you refuse a random bag check. Prison seems farfetched

I guess you guys are speaking of slightly different things. I'm sure you can be arrested if you "behave like a terrorist", and I suppose French authorities are currently more sensitive for all sorts of suspicious behaviour.

On the other hand I'm sure (without knowing any details of the emergency laws) that you won't be sentenced to prison as a "punishment" for this kind of behaviour, once it's clear that you're not a terrorist. You'll have to pay a fine.

I guess the thing is how we are saying it. When I said going to prison I meant being detained for some time. They will take you for interrogation and open the damn bag, period. If you, like they said she did, resist the authorities AND insult them, they can get you in jail. Going against the authorities is a crime no matter the country. You won't stay there for long, probably just one day or two, but you will go to jail/detention and need a lawyer.

If she was in such a hurry she could just give them the damn bag and go on with it. They know people are in a hurry and they do it right away. Making a scene, insulting the police authorities and refusing to cooperate is just the most stupid thing you can do SPECIALLY in Paris. She was either hiding something (like weed, pills) or she was being stupid.

I meant arrested not put in jail:smile: I should have said it in my post, I just noticed you mentioned prison. My apologies:flower: You can be arrested and be innocent.
You are breaking the law when you don't cooperate with the police. (I don't know how you say it in English but you will understand what I mean Lax89, it's the refus d'obtempérer) You don't go to prison but you are detained for 24/48 hours in a police station like EstefaniaAbaddon said. Prisons are too crowded for that kind of things. And you will have to explain yourself in a court and pay a fine. The sentence depends on several things: if you were aggressive, if you were intoxicated, if you put someone else's life in danger, etc.
Mrs.Smith, you are perfectly right. This is why I don't understand why they let her go. Her behaviour was suspicious.

Seems like Natasha Poly and Jessica Hart leave that horrible fight behind. Good for them. :)

^ Did they have a fight? :o

Yes haha a few years ago... in a club, with plenty of people involved (N Poly, J Hart, Anja Rubik, G Lapina + all the husbands/boyfriends)
There are plenty of articles online if you want the juicy details

I was just about to post that they have made up! Natasha commented on the pic with something nice and followed Jessica.

That's nice of her to forgive that girl.

Haha, the way I read it Jessica was a bit of a stirrer in that fight. Nice to see this, but is she wearing a curtain here?

Any chance of a similar pic with Snejana and Natasha? Lol.
