Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

Wait, when did this.......
You mean Kris Grikaite, or Gottschalk? And Nathan Westling? Crikey!

Maybe Hari Nef can school me in her condescending tone on how exactly this works, because Kris (I'm assuming Grikaite?) must've rubbed shoulders with Natalie and Vittoria at some point and now....yeah, suspect. And then to unfollow, which imo is such an aggressive move. I've said it before, there's something really stone-cold about Kris.
Kris Grikaite! Haha yes agree completely...

I feel like Erin is an exception more than the rule. I'm sure a lot of these models know that the career they've chosen is very short and temperamental so they save and invest whatever money they can while they still have a career. Most people aren't that naive to think the money and jobs will last forever in an industry where youth and beauty are top priorities.
On this - some wise words from Marine today.

Now I low-key want a telenovela based on this...

I still think it's outrageous like Marine said if you don't do enough shows you end up losing money. Or what was said a few years ago for certain designers - models are not paid for the shows but get to keep the clothes? Sometimes I think this industry is a joke.

It is a joke. They get paid in clothes and their agencies charge them for digitals/book updates/basically any picture they have to print out. They get charged for the stupidest things and make no money.

+ apartments/hotels, traveling expenses, visas
Printing out books costs a lot of money

Plus Monster rep Teddy Q.

Who knew that pregnancy is makes you a woman...so stupid.

I don't think that's the issue here. The truth is sexism is SEX based discrimination and as a biological woman I do not think it is fair for transwomen to compare their pain to ours when the female body has been shamed in every way, shape, and form (i.e. men have shamed and excluded menstrating women for centuries; biological men identify as FEMALE and want to be part of it?, it's like patronizing us). Our relalities and bodies and issues are DIFFERENT point blank, I do not really believe that is transphobic to say.

... except for many trans people, while their physical external characteristics appear "male," everything else, biologically, is actually "female." Discounting that is the exact same thing as what you're complaining about in your post.

I don't think we are allowed to continue discussing such issues but I am curious about what else biologically is different to their sex? because if its because of hormones they take then it is clearly not the same...if it is their brain then you are saying brains have gender/sex? which is obviously false...they only truth is your biological body even for medicine there has to be a clear distiction ! (i.e. female and male BODIES (the ones we are born with) experience difference signs of a heart attack and no gender you IDENTIFY with can change that)

There are numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers on the topic. Feel free to look them up. Simply put, there are many, many combinations of things at the genetic level, that can give someone male or female external characteristics, when in fact, they're actually the opposite. Here's a nice explanation by a science teacher which has made some rounds:

"You can be male because you were born female, but you have 5-alphareductase deficiency and so you grew a penis at age 12. You can be female because you have an X and a Y chromosome but you are insensitive to androgens, and so you have a female body. You can be female because you have an X and a Y chromosome but your Y is missing the SRY gene, and so you have a female body. You can be male because you have two X chromosomes, but one of your X's HAS an SRY gene, and so you have a male body. You can be male because you have two X chromosomes- but also a Y. You can be female because you have only one X chromosome at all."

Well I am a 26 year old healthy 100% cisgender woman who does not menstruate and cannot get pregnant so Ientirely reject your claim. And not that people have to give you their reasons for IVF but if you look at the stats on it and stats on infertility it is really not at all rare to be born a woman who cannot do those things. So I fail to see why a transgender woman's reality is different than mine or why according to this woman I am 'not a woman' (which makes me what?) because of menstruation or pregnancy.

Aren't those all examples of intersex variations? Neither male nor female from a purely biological scientific perspective? I think a lot of people get confused re sex versus gender but I'm not sure if you're disregarding intersex as a legitimate thing in you're explanation because you keep misusing certains terms that identify male/female versus man/woman. Best example in the fashion world is Hanne Gaby Odiele who is a woman by gender but intersex by sex. Thus considers herself an intersex woman although is not a cisgender female.

^it's in quotes, it's not the poster's own phrasing. The point is that xoxoadore is saying that sex is a straightforward concept; meanwhile, intersex people prove that it is not. It's funny to see the "biological" argument put forth by people who seem not to know much at all about human anatomy and physiology and vastly underestimate its complexity.

what is the percent of intersex individuals?

You have a natural vagina, better? You are still oppressed because of your sex. Your raising was different that that of a male-born individual that had privilege all of their life and now decides to identify as something else. I'm also "cis", but a FtM will have more in common with my reality than a MtF.

If you think most trans women were at one point these “privileged men” who just woke up one day and “decided” to identify as something else without going through hell their entire lives, you are grossly mistaken.

I think the point is that your "gender" is usually something very external to an individual, as it is rather social than biological (unlike sex). So any trans woman's "experience", however horrific, does not exclude or alienate or extinguish the privileges she was privy to when she was a man. Hence, her experience will have less in common with a person who was born as a biological female.

Why are so many people attacking Bella Hadid calling her "racist"?

Saudi nationalists got butthurt because she shared an article about the situation in Sudan. I think some of them are bots because those comments are CRAZY.

She is under fire for posting an IG story with her boot over planes from Saudi Arabia and UAE, which is seen as a diss because of the whole Sudan situation.

Yikes, it's just negative comments after negative comments. And on Versace's page too. It's interesting because people in the ME generally revere these Hadid girls. But this idea that you can just hold a brand to ransom like that is getting out of hand. And the Middle East, after China, is a very important luxury market

Maybe this is just karma coming for Bella since it emerged that she was actually the reason China banned Gigi from VS. Because in general Bella doesn't ever make waves like Kendall and Gigi.
