Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

What does the blind item mean about "sent home early", early from the entire week? A party? What?

perhaps alejandra alonso, according her thread ->she was seen at castings in NY...but she didn’t do any show due to some familar problems and now she is walking some shows in Madrid....WEIRD

While reading Tush Magazine there was a little interview with Iris Strubegger and one part at the end made me thinking.

Translation
Tush: What will you do in a few years when you have stopped modeling?
Iris: Then I will be happy and free.

Her answer seems like she is forced to do it while she is feeling very lost and sad in her job actually.
I don't really know what to think about that and in which way she meant it.

^Yeah it made me wonder as well, since she has a full academic education (shes got a university agree, I dont think a lot of other models can say that) and could therefore quit any day and would easily find a new job - so why the 'torture' ?!

About Iris:

Just to clear the situation because people are talking and talking and they don’t know nothing:
Iris was n o t in the mood to do any other fashion weeks this season except in Spain
Like a lot of major models do from time to time, she just skips this show season..that is all..
The fashion shows in Spain are very easy going, the girls don’t run around like crazy and they pay very well..
So simple..

I also read that answer from Iris and found it very strange. It's not like she's the victim of modern slave trade. Many girls would kill to be where she is. If she's unhappy with being a model, then why doesn't she just leave the business? No one is forcing her to stay. :)

I completey agree. It's not that she's a young innocent girl who is getting pushed and forced by her environment, Iris is a smart and strong women who seems clever enough to quit things if she sees they are not good for her.
But then again we don't know the full story and the aim which is hidden behind this answer.

People underestimate the amount of pressure that can be exerted by outside influences on an otherwise free or independent person. Who knows what she feels trapped by; maybe she wants to be happy and free to travel, or have the time for a family and it's as simple as that. Maybe there's a reason she continues making the good modeling money and is waiting for the day it's convenient to stop and switch over to something else. Maybe she's just worn out. I don't really think there's enough context to speculate on and come to any kind of conclusion.

I know from someone who's working at her agency that when she wanted to give modeling a shot again some years ago, she didn't dare to talk to her present agent about a comeback fearing it could come across as being narcissistic to make the proposal of a comeback by herself. She's might be a bit too sensitive and thoughtful about everything, like "What the hell will my Salzbuger village community & the Austrian mountain goats think about me posing nude in V Magazine!" But I love her "humanity", I mean you don't have to transform into a lively, poker-faced all-purpose machine a la Snej... in order to do this job, i think.

  But in all serisousness, I do completely agree with this comment..

Maybe she just gets too "busy" with this job and doesn't have her own time.. Even Sasha and Natasha have said that you can't make plans in this industry because you never know what you might do tomorrow..

I could understand if she was frustrated with the business. What the message at placemodels comes down to is basically that the models get treated like crap during the "big fashion weeks". She wouldn't be the first one to say so.

Or maybe we're reading way too much into her answer and she's meant it as a joke.

Could Elsa Sylvan be the model who got send home? She hasnt appeared yet and this was supposed to be her comeback .

To be honest, I never expected Elsa to reappear in the fashionweek even though doing some HC shows. I have a feeling (or I am hoping) it's not Elsa.

Karmen supposed to walk and close D&G, but she didn't show up. Freja is also a no show to Gucci or Fendi. Could she be the one who got sent home?
