Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

I still don't think Kendall is a good model but damn, that's a classy burn. Stephanie deserved it.

The whole "cyberbullying" thing is overplayed and tacky. She didn't need to take it there. But I agree with the rest of what she's saying.

Forget connections, surnames and scoring points on the internet, I'll just settle for models who can do a good job of modelling - people who are captivating enough in photos that you can't forget the image, and want to know more, either about them, or the lifestyle they're selling in the shot. Traditional modelling.

Bleating about bullying won't improve any person's ability to be photogenic or skilled at posing. Get a thick skin, get on with the job. That's what 'real models' have to do. Prove people wrong with your ability to work with certain photographers to create magic. Prove people wrong by being willing to explore the art of image-making. Prove people wrong through your plans for longevity in the industry. Then your work will speak for itself.

What Stephanie did was not cyber-bullying and using that card is just playing the victim. If only she knew what cyber-bullying really is...

That said, Steph was always known for her sharp tongue. And the "b*tch" here might have been misused as she was trying to say how these girls get jobs by "selling" their private lives on reality shows. I understand her reasoning although she was pretty low with the terms she used. But hey, Kate Moss keeps calling everyone "basic" so I guess this is becoming a trend.

And saying Steph or the older models are jealous is the ultimate joke. So you think a 50 year old mum who got everything she could aim for in her 20s and 30s is jealous of a newbie? Jealous of what? Failing to find the essence of youth so they could be 20 forever? :hardhead:

Lol. She was not being cyber bullied. How annoying. it still doesn't make her a real model no matter how classy her clap back is.

If you're really a hard working model you don't have to worry about what others say about you, seek other people's approval or to shove it down people's throats every time.

I've never understood this ridiculous argument that is a favorite of this forum, modelling agencies are not charities nor is the modelling industry a meritocracy. Favouritism has always been a part of modelling, a model's success is not determined by how much she works but by the model's look arousing some kind of interest from fashion editors, photographers or casting directors. If Brokaw or Meisel see something in you, it doesn't matter if you've got any experience, you can now waltz your way across top-jobs. Most models can work all they want but they will never access modelling Olympus.

All in all that argument just sounds like a very lousy version of the old "poor kids in Africa" to manipulate people based on guilt. The reality is that the majority of those girls were going back to their "lifes of poverty" regardless of Instagirls, simply because they've chosen a career where luck plays the key role. Kendall, Gigi an co. are not stealing away any jobs.

You're arguing something else. I'm not accusing the insta girls of stealing jobs. You and I have seen that elsewhere on the forums, but that's not the point I was making here. People like Steph Seymour and other models have a right to be proud of making it in the business on their own and not through their connections. That's the key differentiator. And don't even talk about merit in this industry - it's based completely on genetic lottery and luck - and other things we can't discuss. But even then, the girls who've clawed to the top deserve some credit for that, and that's what Steph was comparing/contrasting between supermodels and the new girls.

its funny because its obvious kendall didnt write that her agency people did  (if you've seen her interview with fleur de force you'll know what i mean)

Kendall's statement is very off putting because it basically says that she is a supermodel because other people said so. She's also playing the cyberbully card so that her fans will go bully Stephanie Seymour. The thing is that Stephanie's multi millionaire husband who is wealthier than the Kardashain and Hadid clans allow for her to say what she feels without any repercussions. How is it fair that models who go to castings now have to put down their amount of Instagram followers? The problem with Kendall and Gigi is that they produce trash work. You cannot produce 5 pieces of work from either of them that is iconic.

I'm not on Stephanie's side though because she can't pretend that supermodels only existed from 1988-1992. There were legitimate supermodels before (Carol Alt, Paulina P, Iman, Janice, Kim Alexis) and legitimate supermodels after her crew (Amber, Shalom, Kate, Carolyn, Angela, Gisele).

I think Kendall, Gigi and Bella need to realise that they are it girls (hate the term but they are) and not supermodels.

But the whole throwing shade at those girls by the older models is getting old. I understand that if they're asked for their opinions then go ahead and state it, but do it in a classy way like Naomi.

I agree, they're just it girls right now and not very good models. The older supermodels are annoyed that they had to work so hard and these girls seem to have just gotten everything handed to them because of instagram followers and connections. I do think that Stephanie Seymour went a bit overboard by calling them bi*tches. She could've said it in a better way

Ex-husband. And she's most likely living off the vast sums of alimony payments from him. Apparently he was married with 5 kids when they hooked up, lol. Vanity Fair chronicled their terribly messy breakup sometime back in 2009.

No they're still married. They called off their divorce. I'm pretty sure they don't have a prenup or anything like that if I remember. I remember that he was saying that she was an alcoholic and she was saying that he was abusive. They got back together in 2010 and people were shocked. There's a TMZ video of them in Paris in like 2013 and she's trying on lingerie for him in front of an open window.

Oh God, I didn't even know that! Lol. All the theatrics. They deserve each other.

She also called the cops on her son Peter at one point. Such a strange, messy family.

Hey guys I've noticed on social media a VS girl Sharam Diniz had her fiance featured prominently and now ALL of those pics are completely gone.
Is it just actions to make her public page more professional and singular to her work or do you think it's a breakup?

If this is the wrong thread please direct me to the right one.

thnx

Your messy fave strikes again.

This is the Instagram post/account she's referring to:

And now she's left without an agency again.

I love how this thread always winds up back to talking about snejana somehow.

Also, "I don't care what anyone thinks!, btw what d you guys think of my new glasses?" Kind of contradictory but whatever

oh no, i'll take Snejana messiness over...anything, really. Well no, the posts from Arizona Muse's ex were pretty entertaining, too.

Thinking back on it, Kendall's response seems really sour and lame. You'd think she would know about silly comments being taken out of context or blown out of proportion in the media.

If a model from another generation calls you one of "the b!tches of the moment," take it as a playful compliment and say, "thanks b!tch, I'll take it." No need to get on your high horse and act as if you've been greatly hurt or disrespected or "cyberbullied."

Genuine struggle and adversity has eluded Kendall and Gigi, there's really no need to create this faux-victimization.
