I don't think it's ok to call anyone UGLY, but it is ok to have a strong opinion about a model based either on her looks or her behavior. It's hard to decipher what's true and what's not. But gossip isn't necessarily a lie. A lot of posters do work with models - as photographers, assistants, makeup artists, hair stylists, etc. So news travels fast. Ultimately, reputations are created by a lot more then one person's gossip...

He is, but he also casts the Anna Sui. (I believe that's the only show he casts, I've think he's very close with Anna..he shoots all of her campaigns, I believe. )

To an extent. But because he casts for a runway show, it does not necessarily mean that he will shoot them either.

Ie, Du Juan, Anne Watanabe, and a few other models are usually in Anna Sui but never work with Meisel.

^ I think that Anna Sui has some influence on the castings of her shows...she always likes to have 2 or 3 Asians in her shows, if not more and since those^ girls are mostly the only available, experienced Asian models they are put in the show as well.

Does anybody know who casts the Dior and Galliano shows? Does John do it himself? Both his shows always have nearly the same line-up and they have been awesome for as long as I can remember, so respect to whoever casts it!

paris castings were such a disappointment for me, perhaps the worst i've seen in a while :/

This season has been strange because most of models were new faces and they look like too much for my taste, I would dare say they were clones.

I missed some strength on the runway

Not having Sasha around was very strange. I didn't realize how much she brought to the table until she was gone. It's no surprise that she stood out the most at Miu Miu. The girl can work it.

I, for one, was absolutely thrilled with Sasha's absence. Now, i didn't have to skip her frightful images when viewing the collections. She's one of the few models that can cheapen whatever she wears...i think it's her short frame and horrible legs.

The castings this season were pretty predictable and uninspiring. Aside from 2/3 new girls...there wasn't alot to get excited about.
Anna Maria Jagodzinska's comeback was quite unexpected....loving her new look.

lots of new faces this season. except for Skye, i didn't see a single one that was special, or even pretty! The casting at lanvin was bad. all the new or unknown girls there were hideous in my eye, and the make-up didn't help. the first girl in the style.com backstage photos for that show is good example.

Paris was disappointing. My faves didn't work much, and all these new blank faces. The girls get more dull every season.

Milan wasn't very diverse unfortuately.

New York's casting was the best by far.

JPG had the best casting of all though.

This season seemed so skewed to me since I didn't feel any continuity with the casting anywhere. It seemed so random except for a few girls, but regardless it seemed like alot of the models I like failed in Milan but only did great in Paris. It just felt incredibly odd...
