What's interesting to me is that for all Riccardo does in terms of diversity, he can be just as guilty as some others in the industry in terms of "casting to the collection".

Last season the clothes were influenced by African, Indian and Japanese tradition so there were tons of black models divided throughout the line-up (although confusingly no Asians) and this season the clothes were more streamlined and aristocratic, so you had mostly Caucasian girls, with Cindy, Grace and Imaan lined up in one section, wearing the odd brown leather looks.

Riley's short and doesn't look great on the catwalk, but looks incredible in print. Makes perfect sense to me why she'd be booked for the campaign but not the runway.

I enjoyed the cast at Givenchy (Guinevere, Iris S, Natasha ...). A big shock at Riley's absence though. Kendall was so expected. And putting her at the end of the show between Stella T and Mariacarla was pretentious.

Montana being cast in Givenchy just for press is ridiculous, there's no way. the industry doesn't see her as an AusNTM girl anymore, just as much as they don't see Kate G as a RusNTM girl anymore. They're legitimate models. It seems as though Kendall is too, now. Guess this is just something we'll all have to do deal with. As for Montana, I'm happy for her. She has an interesting look and she deserves it. As for Kendall, I'm not fond of it, but she did look great on the runway.

As for the Riley/Maria absence, that is pure and utter BS. I'm not shocked, because this seems to happen often where a campaign girl is absent from the show, but they are both gorgeous girls who destroy the runway each time they walk. It doesn't make any sense.

Don't they usually do make-up tests the day before or several hours before the show? I usually see make-up boards with a different face but some don't end up walking the show. Still, it's very disappointing that she wasn't cast.

They're usually the day before at least, well that's when Galliano used to do them with Pat. If that's the case then something went funny the night before the show or....?
