Models That Have Changed Their Names

Charlotte Di Calypso's name has definitely got a p*rnstar/action hero quality to it, it could never be her real name!!!

I know! OK, Beillard isn't the most catchy & pronounceable name, but Di Calypso??? How more far-fetched can you get? It's as if she took the most exotic and "noble" name she could find as a teenager to make herself look more interesting.

KASIA STRUSS ->that's not her real name, she changed it because it was too complicated to pronounce and remember

Her real name is... Katarzyna Strusińska

Wow, I had no idea. Obviously it must've been a good move given how successful a career she's had, but I prefer her original name.

seems Sasha P is the only Russian model who keeps the original names. she can because she has such unique face and expression.

Kasia is a deminutive for Katarzyna so technicly she didn't change it. It's like with Sasha Pivovarova, her full name is Alexandra.

^yes...apparently Zoe is the name she was given when she first started modeling in LA!

Using a nickname or shortened form of your name is not really changing your name. Sasha is just the usual nickname for Alexander/dra.

^ True, but then people can't say that girls like Struss, Poly or Roslyakova changed their names. All they did was either shorten their names or choose nicknames.

Angelique Deng changed hers to Ajak

kinda catchy I'm getting used to it.

close, but the other way around. Her real name is Ajak (common Sudanese name) & she changed it to Angelique when she began modelling outside of australia :flower:

I read somewhere that Hanne-Gaby Odiele's real name is Hanne Termote. Don't know the story behind the name change though...

^ yep, Hanne-Gaby Termote. i have no idea why Odiele seemed better to them than Termote?
