Nina Ricci S/S 09 Paris

Yes, so far, so sexy. Not as bad girl as the past season. But the dresses are still nice and gorgeous.
Though I find it hard to link "gorgeous" with olivier. It's more of "unique".

he learn about sexy from versace?

but i do like that he is adding new elements, but failed to surprise though

This silhouette always looks very "student designer" to me; Only Oliver can deliver it in such a beautiful elegant way.

personally I wouldn't have put a leg of mutton sleeve on every look but otherwise this is a great collection.

I'm so happy there's no ruff's here!

so many members/guests in this thread right now  :woot:

Looks great, I was not expecting this at all

I really LOVED fw show, the colours, the fabrics, the shapes and even some shoes! It was absolutely good, but at first view ss one has disappointed me... Anyway I'll wait to see it more carefully...

I do agree on the "trying something new, but failed to surprise". Might be his first ultra show with sexy and long train gowns, but we need more theyskens man...

AWESOME!

I'm taking back what I said. IT'S STILL THEYSKENS AFTERALL! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!

stellar! very ricci-cum-rochas. it's a thrill to see him back "on track" so to speak.

he used to be so shy at the end... ^_^

there was this one dress that olga donned – legendary construction + palate. a major moment!

I am speechless :crush: Too beautiful for words

I know, more like Oliver is giving Versace a lesson with this. though ultimately, the comparison is so vague, the cut of such dresses has been around forever, and that's the only thing in common.

Beautiful collection. I was so disappointed last season and this is a major improvement for me, he seems to have finally found a comfortable spot at Nina Ricci where he can represent the brand but still stick to a vision and technique that is close to what he's known for and what old time fans expect from him.
The detailing looks exquisite in these pictures.. can't wait to see it up close.
thanks for posting, chessmess.

YES! On-track shall we say! HAHA!

And the usual satin trousers! It's not going away, which is good! :D

I like it. I wasn't sure at first, but seeing the whole thing - it works.

Stellar collection, it soo paied off to be more expirimental, i was disappointed with his last collection but this is wonderful.

The first transeprent pieces that look like undergarmet are soo fantastic, and i love how he mixed asutere with sexy and totally made it work, and same for some shilouettes they look dated until you scroll down and see them in full, well done.
