Nina Ricci S/S 09 Paris

BRAVO! If I were present and had the nerve i'd be inclined to give this a standing ovation. For the first time he's been at Nina Ricci he's breached the complexities and creative realms that made him the star at Rochas. This collection is a tour de force of immaculate and utterly gorgeous clothes.

So ethereal, whimsical but not costumy. Beautiful prints and finishings. A sensuous silhouette beyond dull clichés. And the mood so breathtaking.

I didn't like his past collection but this one is growing on me, the color palette is calm but well match, and it's sexy and classy.

I really hate that cut that he put on every skirt. Maybe if it wasn't like that I would feel better about the collection as a whole. I don't get why its every piece though

yes i am so wrong about the learning the silhouette from versace part. and there's no comparison.

i wonder why he included that 3 super simple pieces in the middle? to show a variety or to prove a point?

i feel a bit of rochas back in this, it is alot more romantic than his previous few collections...

I'm not sure....so far, nothing he's done at Ricci can top FW 07.

I can't really put my finger on what I don't really like about this. I mean, I don't want to give up hope on Olivier, because his work for Rochas was beyond breathtaking, but after 3 seasons of disappointment...I'm not so sure what to think anymore. I don't think I'll like a Ricci collection again...as long as it stays on this track, I won't, at least.

wow...i am so in luv with the collection. still romantic and naughty!! thanx for posting!

I really really like this it is a bit different to what i expected from him but it's beautiful. The only problem is that it's not very suitable to wear in my climate :(

This is so beautiful!
Quite Insectile
Im not too fond of the wide shoulders (again) but I love the dresses and his daywear (or is it underwear?) The girls look so free and light.

this is amazing! and that's the more eloquent word i can think of! (i'm kinda speechless)
it's as if he took three seasons to establish himself at the house, he delivered a consistent idea of what he wanted the nina ricci woman to be like, and now he is taking off, delivering all of his talent and making that woman evolve into new times.
i am just falling in love every minute with this fantastic silhouette with the voluminous shoulder from a perfectly tailored jacket, then the long dress in the back that moves as the girl walks down the catwalk... and with these elements you get a perfect romanticism and delicacy. and then there's the most sensual allure with the shortened front side and then the transparency and the nude colours with the black stockings!! i just can't get enough of it!!!
this is already one of my favorites this season!!!
BRAVO THEYSKENS!!

Absolutely stunning. Its romantic and light without being boring. LOVE IT!

By far, the best collection so far.

Still waiting for McQueen though.

Gorgeous clothes! Love the colors. So I guess this whole short in the front, long in the back thing is the new trend...

exquisit!! loved this! its so different from others nina ricci shows!!
i didnt expected this but it is a great surprise!!

I love this so much. It's a perfect balance between experimental Olivier Theyskens and frilly Nina Ricci.
