Prada Mens F/W 10.11 Milan

the set covered up for alot of the collection especially the zooming in and out and like someone else said this is already available at a chain store and the thing that bothered me aswell was the 'to be continue . . .' at the end
please i hope to god she doesn't do this for the womenswear, well i liked the womenswear in this so maybe it'll be good if thats the route shes taking, i liked the cream pea coat and skirt sigrid wore

she is known for looking forward so why now is it time to look back ?

I'm sorry, but where the heck is the photo of Miuccia in the finale? Her outfit is always equally important as those in the collection itself but there doesn't seem to be any pic :ermm:

I honestly hate this, precisely because it's so, so mid-90s Prada. Sure, her quirky 70s bad-taste aesthetic was hugely influential, and clever as well, but hardly my favorite moment in Prada history.

On top of just not liking almost everything that was shown, my expectations were higher than usual since I've loved the last two mens collections.

Disappointing.

ive found the collection in menstyle, but i want to see womenswear :(

its so dated. i really liked her last two mens collection and this is a real disappointment. with the live streaming, i was hoping something interesting and more modern (the set created that vibe). the play on proportion is interesting, i actually like the shrunken sweaters but overall its a miss. sad.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the collection! The prints were a nice change from the usual drab Prada menswear we know and so many of the ensembles she sent out were exquisite.

Agree 100%.

What bothers me though is the "To Be Continued..." projection at the end. I really hope she doesn't continue this for womenswear Fall 2010!!! Or perhpas she will redeem this by adding some kind of ironic 90's element?
i just had a feeling that the womenswear was going to include menswear and show a totally different aesthetic. This version of Pradaland is very upbeat, preppy, and also pretty bright for fall/winter. So kind of expecting more intricate and rebellious looks during the "womenswear" show.

I could just be thinking too much in the "To Be Continued".

I didn't have any hight expectations from Prada, so I kinda... like it?
Not everthing, but mostlty, especially the prints and the pants.

i agree with everything. my expectations were obviously too high

There's something ironic about the whole thing... and what about so much womenswear insertion, I particularly liked the coats and pants. I'll end up loving everything soon, I guess.

I think I like this collection. The last few pieces are amazing, love the fabrics!

while no one hated nineties prada more than i did, one must say that the heart soars when one thinks that after all of these years her aesthetic has finally found an audience of stalwart fashion folk who even after all these years will eat this stuff up -- should their prada pocketbooks afford it. this is signature prada. this is the prada that made prada prada. it's nerdy. it's quirky. it doesn't fit right. on purpose. it's in off-putting colors and funny materials because this is the world of prada. and the power of prada is that the minute one puts it on -- whether it's over demuelemeester pants or a hanes tee -- it's transformative. it's immediately identifiable. and it's unmistakable.

now, once your eyes adjust and this gets wrapped up with womenswear with two glossy ad campaigns and merchandized in those heavenly boutiques, fashion boys from hong kong to london, los angeles to paris, new york to dubai will snatch up these finds because it fits so well into the way that crowd dresses today. and it doesn't take a gay man to fit into those sweaters, for much of the rail thin crowd that follows fashion, this stuff will blend in seamlessly with their thom browne pants, dior homme jeans, their impossibly skinny tailored turnbull shirts, their band of outsiders' skinny ties, their lanvin short shorts....need i go on? hats off to miuccia for knowing her audience.

i don't know why...but i LOVE this collection!

mikeijames

I couldn't have said it better myself. I love this collection.

Bells and whistles with a cast of a thousand models, too many of them girls who wore more interesting things than the men. Erratic seating and distracting visuals to cover up the fact this is the house's WORST COLLECTION EVER.

Ironic self referencing (Prada) in its heyday and playing a (pleasant) but retro 90's soundtrack says NOTHING about our state of mind here, now in 2010. Especially with the tragedy this week. Shame on you Miuccia Prada. What a waste of a perfect opportunity. I always knew you were just another faux champagne socialist...

BORINGLY BAD. Any of these things are already available at any cheap chain.

My sentiments exactly, especially on the last part.

Now, we calm down, take a look at

These representatives high-end luxury goods

Question: Who can have these?
Answer: Money

But the runway is always a fascinating
This is the miuccia prada

I'll be honest, when I was briefly introduced to Raf Simons at the Prada show earlier tonight, I had no idea who he was. Some random British dude? A French guy maybe? Oh, that's Raf Simons! You don't often see one designer representing at another designer's show. Too busy, too competitive. Kind of like Lil' Wayne showing up for a Jay-Z concert. Anyway, Raf picked a good one. Arguably, Miuccia Prada's best show in years. We'll see what he does with his own label later this week in Paris. Don't bet on Miuccia being there. — Adam Rapoport

Yikes! The camo prints are just...I don't even know how to describe them,I would NEVER wear those :ninja:
Also hate those super fitted sweaters, aren't they a bit too girly??Not also like that kind of pink shade,a bit too feminine for my tastes
Not to mention the zombie models(well apart from Sigrid :woot: )
One of the worst collection I've seen recently
