Prada S/S 2014 Milan

Hard to take any of this seriously..It reminds me of a street style costume. Like if you would go to a costume store and see a "wacky street style fashionista" option for sale lol.

I could of done without the big embellished bustiers but the most part I love this collection. The oversized prints in bright bold colors, it was exciting and I have yet to see a shoe from Prada I don't like.

....and the casting....BRILLIANT!

Prada is one of the only enormous global brands that still dares to do something different.
Most of the collection is ugly and nobody could wear a coat with an embellished bra on it, but it is instantly recognizable, and I don't remember the last time someone based an entire collection on something as tongue-in-cheek as underwear worn on the outside.. apart from Prada that is.
I hate the majority of it in an aesthetic sense, but applaud it's deliberate rocking of the fashion boat.

This is a splendid collection, Prada is the only brand that can get away with a collection like this.

Sorry but the bra over clothes thing is nothing new let alone original, it was seen a lot of times before. Gaga wore it in 2009 for example. She came to my mind because I can see her wearing the whole collection, it's very 'artpop'. I hate it though.

as usual really weird but it's gonna sink in, I like the color palette

You actually used Gaga as a reference? Let alone as someone who came up with an idea like that on her own?

Jeez.

You need to do your homework...

This. There is nothing new and original here. Everything from the concept to the design of the clothes feels lazy and uninspired. Not even the styling is fresh... The worst of it is that they want to be original, funny and ironic but it doesn't work anymore. Not at all.

Jean Paul Gaultier?

The Best thing about this collection was the Fall 2007 Look Miuccia came out in at the end.....

This looks more like a Fall collection than a Spring one.

Finally something exciting. Prada's collections are always a surprise and obviously this one is no exception. For me this was very POP, from the soundtrack, to the over embellished dresses and the prints. It's fun and tongue in cheek, with that little bit of crazyness that we expect and love from Miuccia's works.
